Characteristics - Van is one of the three girls who debuts along with Maggie and Jenny. Compared to her two friends, Van is the short, skinny and giddy girl. She tends to jump into conclusions and her sense of happiness sparks others to become happy as well.

Story preferences (SPOILERS) -

Dispel Arc: 
Van only appears as the disastrous girl in the story so far.

El Monte Arc:
Van makes another appearance in this episode and becomes closer to the exposure of elemental power.

Marconian Continent Arc:
After a long year, Van finally appears again and is known to use Animal Controlling powers! At first, she attacks Yessenia, Alex, Shirley, and Huy in the Floral Waterscape and was said to be controlled by William. She later mentions that William is her "boss". After heading towards Lancer, Maggie confronts the Shirley and Yessenia. Van decides to hold her back and tells Yessenia and Shirley to go on ahead.

Potrero Arc:
Van becomes one of the few focuses of this arc where she is the enemy of the main group. She is a part of the CORP soldiers, promising to fight anybody who goes against her Potrero friends.

Relation to:
Between Van and Maggie Yao, they tend to be more close to each other than with Jenny. The main reason is because they are able to goof around whenever she is not there to stop them. They seem to tell each other everything. Van admires Jenny Tran for being the most knowledgeable person that she knows. However, when it comes to friendship and going to several places to adventure, she treats Jenny like no other. As the story progresses, of the three sisters, William Ni is closest to Van like a big brother. Along her character appearances, she begins to have minor quarrels with Alex Wang early in the story which is hinted later that there will be more quarrels between each other.
