Website Version 2.9 is here! Volume 3 is finally done! Anyway, on Thursday I donated a pint of blood. I felt perfectly fine. Didn't know why some people fainted or felt dizzy. Maybe it was because I ate breakfast and chugged down 2-3 water bottles before then. On Friday (yesterday), I was dressed as a pirate. The damn Waldo costume was sold out. I also went to help Laurels with the party then I left and came back hours later to crash their party with other Leos members. We went to Acappella's Haunted house and I regret not going with just Yessenia. It wasn't scary because we went with a group. So, we kind of saw the screams and people coming since they jumped out for the people in front. :( ...Oh well. So here's episode 39! Happy Halloween tomorrow, everyone! Tonight I am going to watch Paranormal Activity 2 with some friends!

Anyway, this is Matthew Tran, offering a story for your boredom, although reading is probably boring to you guys already anyways. Still, take the time to look around I guess!
This story has a rough draft title: Fires of the sky.
This story is about a boy named Matt who enters his first day of high school. However, once he steps in, an incident occurs minutes later behind the large gym of where he sat. As he goes outside, a huge commotion goes on about a fire and Matt tries to save his friend. He trips on a puddle of oil. At a glimpse, he can see something in the sky. Unfortunately, he faints from the harsh slipping that he had experienced. As he wakes up, he mentions the fire but his friends say none of that happened. As time goes by, Matt will experience his own powers, along with new friends who will have the same problem. Will Matt explain his powers to the whole world and ask for help to change him back into a normal person?"

Episode 39: Olympia, the World of Ancient Times
Episode 39 – Olympia, the World of Ancient Times
The castle was still dark. The underworld seemed to take its normal stand on growing as great as Olympia at least for many years from the past. This time, students had to take the challenge of the Gods. Powers must work together to refill the desires from up above. With the help of the newly created power of beauty, the group must support each other even if it is to risk their own life. This stage will not be so simple. In theory, a death must be made. Will the ancient Gods live in disrupt?

Matt took Samantha, also nicknamed as Sammy, off the chains. He knelt down to ask her kindly, “Samantha, what are you doing here?”
Samantha was grasping for air. She coughed and said to him, “Matt… I don’t know where I am at all. I think I am dreaming this whole thing up…”
Matt stood up, “Where did you come from? You need to get out of here, quick! We can talk about this later. This is something very important that I have to take care of.”
Sammy crossed her arms as she said in a worried tone, “But Matt, it doesn’t feel safe here at all. Please, you have to leave this place with me. No one should be here. I can’t live through this nightmare.”
Matt took a step back, “It’s not a nightmare. Please Sammy, you have to get out of here. Where did you come from?”
Sammy explained her situation, “I found someone’s phone on the floor in the real world. I picked it up and checked the phone for someone’s name so I can return it to them. I wasn’t trying to be nosy at all. When I saw ‘Olympia’, I clicked it and it brought me here somehow…”
Matt hurried her, “Use it to get back out. Hurry, be fast. I’ll check the name later, is that okay?”
Sammy was startled. “B-But-…”
“Hurry, come on!” Matt said in a panic, “I promise you that Erica will be just fine!”
Sammy paused. “Erica? What do you mean?” Matt quickly covered his mouth. Sammy went on, “Is something wrong with Erica? Matt, please, tell me!”
Matt turned around, “It’s nothing. I meant Eidothea. My mouth slipped.”
Sammy took the cellphone from under a stack of hay. She seemed to have hid it before she could sense that Hades was coming over to lock her up. “You’re lying…”
Matt yelled at her, “She’ll be fine. She’ll be fine!”
Sammy became angry, “Always trying to hide things, don’t you? Well fine then. See you later, Matt, if there is a later.” She angrily pressed the button that sent her back to the real world…
Matt said to himself, “I just can’t tell you about it… but from the looks of the underworld, you might have an idea of what I am keeping a secret about…” He suddenly felt a shake come through the ground. “Huh?”

Meanwhile back when the group of three split up, Shirley was going through the dining room. “There’s no food anywhere. What a bummer.” She checked the kitchen but there were only spider webs in the refrigerator. “Eww! What is wrong with this castle? There’s nothing to eat but nasty spiders and webs.”
“This castle is very old.” A voice said. “I’m surprised you found the castle. Where are the other two?” Jon appeared from the dining room.
Shirley took a step back with an astonished expression, “Uh- They’re at the other two paths. Look, I don’t trust you, but we really need you and you agreed to help stop Hades. Let’s just work together for now and stop Hades.”
“If you don’t trust me, then don’t you think I would be helping Hades by now?”
Shirley became silent. “Um… I uh… I don’t know…”
Jon began to chuckle, “Hmph, too easy to argue with. Let’s just get to the center path and head on to where Hades is really hiding. Right now, he could be watching us by using his underground seeping powers.”
Shirley sighed as she was about to move on until the ground was shaking. “Hey, did you feel that?”
Jon clenched his fists, “This can’t be good. This could mean only one thing…!”

Down the corridor, Santi and Mariel began talking about each other. After enough information, Mariel giggled, “Heehee, you seem like the nerdy type yet you don’t look like one at all.”
“Looks can be deceiving.” Said Santi, “I am not even a nerd. I plan to join sports this year.”
“Oh, what kind?” asked Mariel.
“I am not sure yet, but I might join Track and Field.”
“You call that a sport? Haha!” Mariel joked.
“Excuse me?” Santi said with irritation. Mariel began to laugh without any more responses. As time went by, the two of them reached the top. Eidothea was seen at the edge of the castle now. “Eidothea!” Santi yelled.
Eidothea turned around in surprise, “W-What is it? What do you want from me?”
Mariel smiled, “We’re here to save you! Come on, hurry, hurry!”
There was a long pause. The wind flew past through the three of them now. Eidothea, as Erica, shook her head slowly and said with tears in her eyes, “I cannot do it…” She turned around, “Hades is planning to trap me here forever to make sure that the underworld stays balanced compared to Olympia. However, I figured that Olympia is losing its powers as well and it might cause the future to go haywire. Isn’t your world going crazy right now?”
Santi did not want to lie to her. He forced himself to tell her that Earth is not in good shape. “I am sorry… but the only way to fix it is if you go back to Olympia…”
Erica was walking towards the edge of the castle, “No… There is no way to return. I can only fix Olympia by stopping the underworld from gaining any power and that is for me to perish!”
Mariel screamed, “NOO! Eidothea!”
Santi opened his palms and reversed the actions of Eidothea, “What do you think you are doing?! Are you planning to give up this soon?!” The ground started shaking.
Mariel fell to the ground on her knees, “Ouch! Was that an earthquake just now?”
Santi became frustrated, “Ah, what is it now?”
Eidothea took a look at the ground from down below, “Are we floating up?”
Matt, Shirley, and Jon appeared together from behind. Jon said out loud to the whole group, “Stay alert! Hades is planning to have this castle move up to Olympia! If it stays long enough, Olympia’s energy will be sucked away by Hades’s dark castle!”
Matt noticed that Santi’s hands were filled with the aura of time magic, “The seventh stage…?”

The castle was now floating up. The group of six quickly ran down to the floor right below the rooftop. The whole castle entered through the ground below Olympia and it seemed to be going haywire. The bats were flying away and the dark aura followed the castle. After a few minutes, the whole castle completely filled a portion of Olympia…
Mariel looked out the window, “Oh my goodness… what just happened?!”
Jon stomped his foot, “Hades has gone too far! Now Olympia’s energy will be sucked away and this will change the future forever!”
Down below, three people appeared from an aura of appearance. Yessenia, Jaime, and Danny all appeared together. Danny frowned, “Aw man, it was getting really hot again. It went up to 120 degrees, didn’t it?”
Yessenia agreed, “Yes, and I believe it is because something is going on with Olympia.”
Jaime called out, “Hey, a castle!!”
Matt ran towards the window to look down towards the ground, “What? Why are they here too?” He watched as the group of three ran into the castle. “They’re coming up now. With all of us going to be here, what are we going to do in order to stop Hades?”
Shirley said with attitude, “Well first of all, where is Hades even hiding? Ugh, that guy runs away every time!”
Santi turned to Jon, “Jon, is there any way to locate where Hades is hiding at?”
Jon clapped his hands together and dark aura began to appear, “If I had known that, I would have tried sooner. I will try it again and see what I can do to find him.” He closed his eyes, “Focus…”
Yessenia, Jaime, and Danny eventually appeared. Yessenia’s mouth gaped open from watching Jon sitting with the rest of the group. Danny was also surprised to see Mariel at such a place.
Jon was suddenly pushed onto the floor and his dark aura suddenly canceled away, “Argh! Damn it! His aura is too powerful from inside a room. We need to get to the top again, fast! Hurry!” Matt, Santi, Shirley, Danny, Yessenia, Jon, Jaime, Erica, and Mariel all went to the top of the castle.

Jon tried to use his magic again to search for Hades. However, Hades appeared at the top on his own, “All you treacherous villains! You constantly continue to try and take my life away from me! That is the last straw, Jon!”
He spewed out a gust of dark aura towards Jon. Jon began to scream in pain as he knelt down, trying to move on his own. “Agh- AHHH!!” His voice was becoming satanic.
Mariel covered her mouth in fear, “Oh my gosh, what is happening to him?!”
Yessenia closed her eyes as she ran towards Jon, “Stop it, just stop it, Hades!!” She gripped her arms around Jon in order to stop the aura from taking over Jon again. The aura pushed Yessenia back and Jon was coughing. He was on the floor, kneeling still.
“Yessenia… I… I’m sorry… for everything.” Jon said slowly. “The only way… I could prove it to you…”
Yessenia sat up, feeling surprised at what just went on. “H-Huh?”
Jon stood up and he was bleeding from his forehead, “Is to erase my powers for good in order to save Earth!”
Matt gasped, “What?! Jon, what do you think you’re doing? That’s not possible!”
Jon summoned a dark aura on his fists again as he began to throw them towards Hades. Hades said with his own satanic voice, “This is blasphemous! This is outrageous! How could you attack your own… God…!!! Your powers will be lost forever if you do that! Argh!” Hades was weakening now. He developed a dark ball of his own, “You will go down with me, Jon!!” As soon as the dark ball grew large enough, Hades decided to throw it with extreme speed.
Jon closed his eyes, “Well… this is the end… of my powers, and myself. The eighth stage has finally been completely.” He thought in his mind, “I knew it was just the darkness of the powers that I was given. I was finally able… to save Earth, even if it meant losing my own life…”
At the brink of light, Erica gave a shill cry, “No! Jon, get out of the way!” Erica jumped in front of Jon. The dark ball smashed onto Erica, causing her to scream in pain. “Please, everyone…! Get out of Olympia this instant!!”
In fear, Danny decided to quickly leave Olympia. Jaime had his cellphone, “Dude, what is going to happen?”
Hades laughed, “GAHAHAHAH! YOU’LL ALL TURN INTO STONE WITH ME! COME ON, DON’T BE AFRAID NOW!!”
Jaime quickly pressed the button to go back to Earth, “That does it then. I’m out.”
Mariel shook her head, “Same here. But Eidothea…!”
Shirley held onto Mariel, “We should hurry. We don’t have enough time!” She went with Mariel to vanish away.
Erica noticed that Matt, Santi, Yessenia, and Jon still remained. Erica said sadly, “Please everyone, listen to the Goddess Nymph, Eidothea. I, Erica, will take care of everything from here. Just escape from here as soon as possible!”
Yessenia closed her eyes as she pressed the button for Earth, “Farewell… Eidothea.”
Santi pressed the button as well, “Come on, Matt. We can always come back to Olympia later. We just need to wait until things clear up!”
Matt and only Jon remain. Jon was lying on the floor with complete silence. Matt took a step forward, “Erica…!”
He ran towards Erica and he tried to grab onto her, “But what about your friends?! What about Jen?! What is she going to do without you?!”
Erica had tears in her eyes. She gave Matt a smile, “Don’t you worry, Matt. Jen still has her best friend, you. She also has Lisa, right? She doesn’t need me anymore as you can see people do come and go. Jen is just growing up and she’s going to need you a lot more now that I will be gone. Please, take care of her. I will see you all again someday. Just… someday.”
Matt watched as Hades turned into stone, “Erica, don’t tell me you’re…” Erica’s feet were turning into stone. “No… no. This can’t be…”
“Farewell, Matt…”
Matt closed his eyes, “ERICA!! NO!!” He shook his head and ran for Jon’s cellphone before the petrification reached him, “Argh…! We have to go now, Jon!” Matt opened Jon’s cellphone and he saw the word ‘Olympia’. “This is… goodbye, Olympia. Goodbye, Erica… I am sorry…” He closed his eyes again as he pressed the button to vanish away with Jon. “I will promise you, Erica. I will take care of Jen for you. Please, I hope you come back to us… someday.” The whole world of Olympia was eventually turning into stone. Matt and Jon had finally vanished away back into the real world…

Website Version 2.8 is here! At last, I get a free weekend! Not really. Tomorrow I'm going to work on some homework + NHS application + Research more on College and work on College apps if possible. For now, I spent almost 3 hours updating this website with lots of stuff! So, this is probably another one of the biggest updates ever since the beginning of the story. :D

Characteristics - Alex Wang is only an assistant character so far for Mariel. Whenever Mariel is somewhere, Alex is there with her to support her. However, he does not seem to have a choice anyway since Mariel can easily tell him to do one thing or the other. He appears to also have a lighter-toned voice but he does not reveal much about it himself.
As the story progresses, we learn that Alex keeps grudges against those he dislikes and creates descriptive imaginations on how to kill others.

Episode 38 - Into the Forsaken Underworld – Part 2
The underworld looked completely different from what was expected of the group of three: Matt, Santi, and ShirleyC. Shirley knelt down to sniff the rock-like flowers, “Mm, this is strange but interesting. Have you smelled this one, Matt? It’s like an actual flower!”
Matt placed his nose near the flower and Shirley blew onto the flowers petals so that dust can disperse all over the place. Matt began to cough and Shirley giggled. Matt panicked, “Gah! What was that for?!”
Shirley placed her hands behind her back and smiled. “Heehee.”
Matt noticed that this was one of the very few times he had seen Shirley really happy. It seemed to him that Shirley loved exploring the world, especially something that has no relation to what looks like the outside world such as Earth. Santi continued walking down the dark road, “Alright you two, let’s go. There are a few lights that we can follow up ahead. They are either just lanterns from afar or it is Eidothea sending a prayer to the upper world.”
Shirley stood up and ran along with him. Matt followed them, asking, “Where do you think Erica is right now?”
“Like I said, it could be one of the lights where she is shown, but I am not so sure. It is the only thing we can trust right now since Jon decided to find her on his own.”
Shirley questioned him, “Isn’t it strange how Jon is helping us? Why would he want to help us after all we did to each other?”
Santi stopped to explain, “Like Matt sort of said… Jon might be doing this for Earth, for Olympia, not for us. But of course there’s always that ‘possessed’ possibility. Right now, we are forced to trust him. Let’s keep going before we lag even more.” Matt and Shirley agreed as the group of three continued walking.
Along the road, Matt became curious about his other friends. “Hey how come we didn’t ask Danny or Yessenia to come with us?”
“Yessenia has a hard time trusting Jon, right?” Matt nodded slowly and Santi’s guesses. “As for Danny, well, it is pretty obvious. He would cause some riot down here.”
Shirley turned over to look at Matt, “That’s true. She might think that Jon is possessed which could be true, but she most likely has that strange feeling of untrust for him still. Right now, we shouldn’t let Yessenia and Jon keep in close contact with each other into things are fixed up with Jon, hopefully.”
“Hey Matt, just a thought…” Santi caught Matt’s attention now. Matt paid full attention to the tone of Santi’s voice. “Do you like adventure?”
Matt looked away, blushing, “Uhm… yeah. I just… couldn’t have the chance to experience the world, or at least around the city of El Monte. I never even gone out of California, to be honest.”
Shirley frowned, “What? Why not?”
Matt decided to explain. “When I was little, my family was considered somewhat high class. We had a lot of money I think. My dad was betting 500 dollars on every single chicken fight, like a real hardcore gamble. He lost most of the bet and we lost thousands and thousands of dollar. Not only that, my dad and his friends weren’t even home the next day because he had to work or something. I still don’t know what he was doing. My mom called him and said that it is an emergency that he comes home quick. A tree in our backyard was on fire and it was a problem to the house so we had to move completely. We rented a 2-story building but we moved again after a year, causing us to lose even more amount of money. We became lower-middle class after I became around six years old. Since then, I made friends with people who didn’t enjoy hanging out. Last year, I went out only to movies, and it was only twice…”
Shirley clenched her teeth, “That’s such… a sad story.”
Matt became angry. He clenched his fists, shaking. “If I was old enough back then, I would have yelled and stopped my dad from gambling on such a stupid thing! And as for friends… I really didn’t like how they were all anti-social! I just couldn’t hate them… they were my only friends and I didn’t want anyone else. Not many people were as smart as them so if I hung out with people that were less smart, I figured it would influence me.”
Santi crossed his arms, “Hm, so you sort of had a forced childhood, I see. You did not have the money to visit out of California and you did not have the potential friends to hang out and explore the whole city?”
“Exactly. I just feel as if I’m missing out a lot. I figured, what would happen if I had new friends who loved to explore the world? That’d be so cool.”
Shirley giggled, “Hey Matt, I love to adventure too.”
“Really?!” Matt began to smile.
Santi placed his arms above and behind his head, “I have no opinion.” Matt and Shirley began to laugh softly to each other. Matt seemed to open up to his new friends for the first time. He finally felt comfortable with expressing what he needed to tell to the world. What he kept inside, was now something to be fixed with the help of his new friends, if they want to fix it, that is…

Once the group of three reached a light, there was a gate that obstructed their view. It opened up and Santi took a step back. “Maybe this will not be as pleasant as we thought it would be.”
Shirley opened her palms, “I guess I’m ready!” Matt watched the both of them. He could not use his fire powers without a cellphone of his own. He decided to take a step back but he showed an expression of fear.
Santi saw a Cerberus appear from behind the gates, “That is not so bad. Should we teamwork?”
“You shouldn’t even be asking that!” Shirley said with confidence. With that said, Santi began to slow the Cerberus and Shirley used her ice powers to freeze the Cerberus. She ran up to it and she began to punch it. Her fists hurt. She screamed, “Ow, ow!” Santi and Matt began to laugh. Shirley turned around, “This isn’t funny! We’re fighting some weird ugly beast here.” She decided to kick the Cerberus as it shattered into pieces.
Santi walked towards the gate, “That was not so hard. With me being able to slow down the monsters and you being able to freeze and shatter them, we should be having no problems at all. Matt, you can be here to experience the whole adventure.”
Matt felt useless. He said softly, “But I can’t do any-…”
Shirley interrupted him, “Santi’s right. You can experience it with us. You don’t need to do anything, okay? So let’s go!” She ran ahead and Santi took his time walking.
Matt watched them move on ahead. “Why… are they being so nice to me?”

After awhile, Matt began to slow down. He tapped his right foot in a certain pace. “Hey, wait a minute…” He turned to his left to examine the figures beside him. “I’ve seen these a few minutes ago. Actually, I’ve seen it about three times already.”
Shirley began to look around the areas surrounding the road, “Come to think of it, some of these flowers have the same type of rolls at the tip.” She noticed that there were some footsteps with the same designs on the floor. “And look. There are designs of our shoes up ahead yet somehow we didn’t even move on forward yet.”
Santi crossed his arms. He figured that they might have gone in circles three times already.
Shirley began to hug herself as she started shaking, “D-D-Does this mean we’re lost?”
“Well,” said Santi with a sigh, “I will have to tell you this in the nicest way possible: We are completely lost.”
Shirley screamed, “Ahh! I can’t believe this! How can we get lost?!” She shook Santi on his shoulders, “You’re the brains here. Why are we lost? Tell me! I’m going to go insane!”
Matt scratched his head. He did not know what was going on since they clearly have been taking different directions up ahead. “We only went straight. It didn’t feel like we turned at all yet we’re back to where we started. Should we start walking backwards?”
Santi felt the plants and he began to take a step over them. “I see what is going on now.”
Matt and Shirley began to panic once Santi suddenly disappeared into the plants. Matt said in fear, “Santi! Where are you? Don’t leave us.”
The both of them followed only to see a completely new road. Santi said to them, “I see now. We entered the underworld from an illusion portion of the area. If you think about it, the area we were in was an illusion. It was a really small area where it seemed like we revolved around the world three times. All we had to do was to walk through to the left or right sides. Now be careful, the underworld is very twisted.” Matt and Shirley had to make sure that they kept their guard up.

The road had finally come to an end. At the end, the castle of Hades was shown. The group of three stood in front of the tall castle where many bats flew by and dark mist surrounded the whole area. The castle was a very dangerous place to be in, but Santi had to make sure that both of the more careless students were not rushing through the cave.
Matt knocked on the door but there was no answer. He decided to pull the knob and push the door open, as it did. He whispered into the large room and down the corridor, “Hello? Is anyone in there?”
Shirley began to shake, “Uh… I don’t like this idea of going into this castle.”
Santi pointed at the stairs from their left and right, “Well we kind of have to. Furthermore, we might have to split into three. We have to figure out which path is the correct way to go through. Why don’t I take the middle? Matt, you take the left and Shirley you take the right.”
Shirley clanged onto Santi’s arms, “B-B-But I don’t want to go alone. This is scary, can’t you see?!”
Matt began walking to the left stairs going up, “I really don’t want to go alone either, but I guess we just have to do this in order to save the present world of Earth, right?”
Shirley sighed, “Oh… I guess you’re right.”
“Oh Matt, wait.” Santi stopped Matt from walking any further. “Between the three of us, you have to be most careful. Remember, you cannot use your fire powers since you went into Olympia through Shirley’s cellphone.” Matt nodded as he went on up the stairs.

In Santi’s corridor, he began to hear a shuffling sound ahead. He took alert of the sound as he began to slow down the small area ahead of him. As he got closer, he noticed that it was a girl in pinkish purple. “Oh? What is this? Haven’t I seen you around school?”
The girl turned around and she quickly stood up, “Huh? Uh…! I can explain!”
“Mariel, was it? Are you trying to tell me you have a secret from everyone?”
Mariel looked away, “Why are you here?”
Santi explained, “Maybe for the same reason as you.”
“…Hades?”
“Yeah, that is right. Were you planning on stopping Hades alone?”
Mariel shrugged. “Well… I don’t know. I was angry at what Hades was doing to Olympia. I met the Water Goddess Tethys here in Olympia but she warned me about the underworld. She opened up the ocean for me to enter, thinking that there might be no hope of me coming back. I-I can do it though.”
There was a long pause. Santi gave a smirky expression as he said to her, “You need my help, don’t you?”
Mariel frowned, “Yes… I guess. I’ve seen you around Matt a lot.” She gave herself a hairflip and said soothingly, “I am guessing you both have powers then. Right now though, we need to stop Hades as soon as possible!”

Matt was looking through a large library with a bunch of books. He could see that many of them consisted of dark aura all over the place. There was one book that stood out and it was one shiny figure up above the top of the shelves towards the ceiling about five meters above from the ground. “There should be a ladder around here if books are going to be that high up…” Matt took a look around for a ladder. Hidden behind the desk, Matt took the ladder and he began to climb up to the top with it. “Here is the book.” He pulled the book away from the shelves but the whole shelves were beginning to slide away from each other. Matt examined closely at the hidden hole behind him, “W-What’s this? A secret passage?”
He entered the passage with the book still in his hand. He entered a room with many skeletons. Matt closed his eyes from the disgust with his expressions, “Ugh- What the?!” A girl from the back began to struggle with chains all over her arms and legs.
The girl screamed out to him, “Matt, is that you?!”
Matt looked closely, “S-Samantha?! Sammy?! Is that you?” Sammy gave a nervous expression, showing fear that whoever had done this to her might come back soon…

A voice was heard… “Those meddlesome children… Ergh!! I will take this to Olympia, heh heh…!”

Episode 37 – Into the Forsaken Underworld – Part 1
The sky was red. It was only 7 A.M. and Matt was feeling the best he could feel in the breeze. He got out of the car and gave himself a nice stretch, “Ah! This is great!” He looked around, noticing that he was the only one wearing a sweater. He was confused at why students were wearing Summer clothing as if it was hot. Through normal procedures, Matt decided to enter the large gym for his first period class.
In the large gym, Santi sat down, making sure that the ceiling fans were able to reach him. “Dude, aren’t you hot? It’s about 110 degrees outside.”
“It is? Since when?”
“I am not sure. It just randomly came up on the weather news this morning before I left for school.”
ShirleyC was suddenly seen sitting next to Santi. She said to them, “Last night, the news forecast or something said that it would be about 76 degrees and raining. It’s sorta way off, don’t you think?”
Matt was surprised to see her appear out of nowhere but he disregarded the strange happening as he asked, “Why did it get hotter to you guys all the sudden? I feel fine…”
Shirley whispered, “I don’t know if you’ve noticed it Matt, but you have fire powers. You’re the only one wearing a sweater!”
Matt turned around to notice many students watching him in awe. Matt rolled his eyes, “Oh great, I’m being back-talked because of my powers.”
“Think it makes me feel any better? I have ice powers. I feel like I’m melting and it feels like 120 degrees to me too. Good thing I’m wearing shorts!”
Santi stood up and said to them, “I’ll be right back. It’s getting too stuffy in this gym.”
“Where are you going?” Shirley asked before Santi could walk away.
“I’m going to Olympia really quick. I’m going to stay there for a few minutes for some fresh air.”
“Ooh, take me with you!” Shirley screamed in command. Shirley followed him down the bleachers and through the doors right below.
Matt sat down, alone, “Hum… Should I go too?”
A familiar, flamboyant voice was heard. It sounded closer as the voice continued, “Go where? It’s even hotter outside so it’s best to just stay in here, weirdo. What’s with the sweater anyway?”
Matt turned around in astonishment, “Whoa! You’re that ‘Alex’ guy that Mariel knows, right?”
“Yeah, so what?”
“Nothing. I was just recognizing you. How’s Mariel?”
“Don’t you have her for some classes?”
“Well I’m talking about how is she today since the weather is all weird and everything.”
“That’s nice of you to care about me.” Alex said with sarcasm.
Matt paused for a moment. “Oh… uh, yeah how are you?”
“Good, thanks. Mariel is hating the world today. The heat is too hot and it’s making her make-up look all nasty and stuff. So why are you wearing a sweater?”
Matt stopped for a few seconds then he suddenly unzipped the sweater really fast. “Oh, ow it’s hot! I don’t even know why I wore it. I thought it was going to be cold today and I tried so hard to ignore the cold but since you mentioned the heat, I wasn’t able to wear this anymore.”
“Come to think of it, you’re always wearing sweaters even on hot days from September.” Alex said in suspicion.
Matt changed the subject as he said, “You’ve seen me in September? I think I did see you a few times but I don’t remember. I probably saw at a glance or something.”
“Of course. I see everyone.” Alex joked. “Or maybe you just stood out so well from the crowd and I could easily see you because of your sweater. You’re usually wearing that white sweater all the time. Don’t you have any other sweaters? Why don’t you just wear t-shirts?”
“Because regular t-shirts are ugly. And it’s too common.” Matt thought in his mind that this excuse was really horrible, but Alex decided to let it go and walk away with an ‘okay then’. Matt gave himself a sigh. “Phew… I have to give better excuses next time if I want to keep my fire powers a secret.”

After awhile, Matt became a little bored. He went down the bleachers and he headed for the restrooms that were past the doors. All the sudden, he saw Santi and Shirley appear. Santi fell but he was already standing from midair while Shirley fell on her behind. Santi said to Shirley, “That was the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard of! I am completely tired of arguing about this for minutes, Shirley. We have to go back in there later and find Eidothea as soon as possible.”
Matt chuckled, “Heh, you two were arguing for that long? Geez.”
Shirley said angrily, “Matt, this is serious! Remember when Eidothea or Erica or whatever left to the underworld? Santi is saying that it is causing our weather to change completely.”
Santi stood in front of Shirley and he took over the speech, “Furthermore, the whole world will change as well, one by one. The weather was the first thing, Matt. We have to find her this instant.”
Matt scratched his head. He did not understand how Olympia and Earth connected. He said in confusion, “Wait… This doesn’t make any sense. How are they even connected?”
Santi began to explain the situation. “I do not know if you have noticed, but Olympia, unlike Arkon’s Magic, is connected to Earth in some way. Although it is still unknown if Arkon’s Magic has any relation to Earth, Olympia has a huge impact. From the Ancient Mythology book that we had to start reading last month, you should have noticed that Olympia was countless of years ago. Whatever happens then, happens now.”
Matt questioned the idea. “What? If that’s true then how come it hasn’t happened before when the first stages happened?”
“The underworld is very crucial to the changes of Earth. If you figured it out, the underworld is basically whatever is closest to the core, except it was not as hot I assume. Changing the underworld is very dangerous even if it does mean taking the life of it away.”
Shirley looked away, “I told you, Matt.”
Matt yelled at her, “What?! You were in on it too! We all tried to stop Erica but she insisted that it’d be best for her to stay in the underworld at least until everything is balanced. Hades said so!”
“You believed Hades? He is known to work around a scam. He will bring her back as promised, but he did not mention the negative possibilities that can change in the future such as now. We have to go back to Olympia pronto and fix everything.” Santi commanded them in a hurry. He grabbed Matt’s arm and he quickly pressed the button for Olympia, and so did Shirley…

In Olympia, the sky was turning red. Matt, Santi, and Shirley all appeared at one spot. Again, Santi fell with his feet but Matt and Shirley fell on their behinds. Shirley sat up and frowned. “Oh, this isn’t the best way for me to show up.”
Matt pointed at the sky, “Look, guys! The sky is changing just like on Earth. So the underworld is affecting Olympia too?”
“Of course. Olympia is the first main priority before Earth.” Santi said. “We must find a way down to the underworld.”
The three of them went from place to place, talking to many holy people. Eventually, Matt had to ask Hephaestus at the blacksmith area but even he did not comprehend with the underworld. No God was able to do so. Shirley said to Matt and Santi, “What do we do now? Hephaestus wont help us, Eurynome won’t either, and even Chronos. No God has the power to go down to the underworld except Hades.”
Matt was watching Hephaestus work with his fire powers to fix a large weapon, “That could be it.” Santi said in amazement, “We have to go down to our last resort. Are any of you fine with conversion with Jon?”
“Jon, the one with the power to disable our powers? I don’t think so!” Shirley yelped. “He is dangerous too!”
Matt agreed with Santi, “But what other choice do we have? Besides, Jon might be a good guy.”
Santi revealed to them about his own opinions, “Well you two have to understand that he is only possessed. Without that understanding, he’s just nothing more than an evil person. Right now, we need his help and there’s no other person who can save the world of Earth and Olympia.”
Matt and Shirley became silent. Shirley sighed and said sadly, “Oh all right…~”

Back in the real world after sixth period, the group of three made sure no one was nearby Jon outside next to the vending machines. Shirley jumped into a bush and whispered, “Psst, hey you, Jon!”
Matt and Santi were watching her from right in front of the doorway. Matt said blankly at her, “What the heck are you doing?”
Jon turned around, “H-Huh? It’s you…”
Shirley squealed, “Damn it!” She stood up with anger, “How could you have noticed me first before Matt and Santi?! They are right there out in the open!!”
Jon turned to Matt and Santi, “Why are you two here?!”
Shirley fell to the ground, “You mean you didn’t notice them in the first place?!”
Santi changed the subject, “Jon, we need your help.”
Jon crossed his arms. “Now why would I do that? It’s fun torturing you guys.”
Santi took a step closer, “Have you tried opening your eyes, Jon?! The weather is horrible today and it won’t get any better because Eidothea had entered the underworld.”
Jon became serious. “The underworld? Eidothea?!”
Matt did not want to say anything. After all that time he and Jon had been fighting, he did not want to take initiative on fixing their situation between each other. Santi took out his cellphone, “Will you go to the underworld and help us take Eidothea back to Olympia?”
“As far as I don’t want to, I guess I have to. Earth is MY world, not Hades’s world!”
Shirley said monotonously, “Yeah sure whatever.” The group of four decided to teleport back into Olympia.

In Olympia, the group of four appeared with the same procedures of Matt and Shirley falling on their behind. Matt helped Shirley stand up, “Man, we should do something about our landing.”
“Seriously.” Shirley said with a tired voice.
“So tell us, what do we do next?” Santi asked. “Do you have any way to bring us down to the underworld as well?”
Jon began using his powers, “Why should I bring you three? This is my job to stop Hades.”
Santi stopped him, “From the looks of it, your powers are to borrow powers from us. What can you do without us?”
Jon did not know how to respond. He gave a huge sigh and then said to the group of three, “Fine. Hurry up and stay close to me. I’m going to bring you three burdens down with me into the underworld.” Matt and Shirley became relieved that Jon decided to let them go with him. They both gave each other a high five and the group of four were on their way down to the underworld…

Heading down towards the underworld felt as if they were going down an elevator. It was a bit faster, and the group could see them floating down towards the ground as if they came from the sky, only everything was darker with lava as a replacement for water. Shirley smiled, “Wow… It’s pretty for a place that is supposed to be scary.”
“Yeah, whatever.” Jon smirked.
Reaching the bottom, Matt jumped out of the capsule-like teleportation power that Jon was able to use in addition to his powers to disable others. Matt examined the flowers which were rock-like. “This sure feels like the sound of ‘underworld’ to me…”
Santi fixed his glasses to prepare for what he would imagine to happen next. “The underworld is not as best as we would think. Stay alert for anything vial similar to Hades. We need to stick together and no one should get hurt or else we will be sent all the way back to the real world and we would have to go through the process of getting down here from Olympia again.”
Shirley and Matt were examining almost everything around them. Shirley said to Santi, “Yeah, sure. Let’s go Matt, I want to see what they got here!”
Matt said to her, “Okay! I wonder what they have too.”
Jon said bluntly, “Those idiots sure love to adventure.”
“I am not that sure about Matt. I guess he was deprived of having adventures with others that he finally is able to enjoy it with his new friends. I wonder if he really does enjoy adventure.” He felt calmer. “What I am really concerned about right now is the fact that Eidothea may be in danger. Trying to balance Olympia and the underworld can cause a lot of her energy to be taken away and that will not be a good thing once she returns to Olympia.
Jon yawned, “Whatever you say. I’m gonna find Eidothea on my own. For you and your friends, just stay out of my way. See ya.” He began to walk away.
Santi closed his eyes and waited for a few seconds until Jon was a little further away. Santi took a look at Matt and Shirley, “I hope with just the three of us, we can do this…”

ShirleyC: Hmph, treating us like children... We just love adventuring, that's all!
