Episode 192 - Wood and Smoke, Two Bothersome Elements

Throughout the arc, the groups separated several times in the Druskane Continent in order to stop Rowen in Tigre Village, but he was too quick for them. He headed over to the Whistel Continent to obtain the Bird’s Tear. Unfortunately, Matt and Yessenia’s group were not able to catch him and he returned to Tigre Village. Shirley’s group returns from the Greyton Oasis with the Rainbow Mist and find out that the world is tearing apart because there is no spirit for the oasis. With this in mind, Rowen’s Peridot soldiers only attack Shirley because they are aiming for the Rainbow Mist. It seems now that he has both the ingredients to create the Telsi Potion and he used it to revive his own friends who have turned evil by his favor. Now, Alex, Venus, Jaime, and Winny have to fight Droan, Anietta, and Narisa!

Episode 192 – Wood and Smoke, Two Bothersome Elements

            William, Christine, Thuy, Peter, Omar, Danny, and even Bunny were facing against Rowen. Bunny was on the ground, pouting. “Hurmph! If master of Jennifer no accept me, then Bunny will hate you!”

            Peter said to Bunny, “Jennifer hates him too.”

            Bunny made a large gasp. “HUUUUHHHH!!! Master Jennifer no like Rowen too?! Panda friend, you are my new friend!”

            “I didn’t say I was going to-…” Peter was interrupted by Omar’s obnoxious laughter. “What do you want?!”

            “Enough time for the bickering, kiddies.” William said in a joking manner.

            “How are you still calm?!” Peter snapped at William who had several burn marks on his clothing and skin. William only shrugged with his eyes closed.

            Outside, Jennifer, Lupe, Brandon, Huy, Shirley, Joey, Julie, Joseph, Stan, and Kalpesh were all helping each other. Taiger, Lagi, and Telgei were freeing the other tigermen. Julie wrapped white tapings over Shirley’s arms and legs. “You seem awfully injured, Shirley.”

            Shirley blushed. “Thank you for kindly helping me, Julie.” She giggled until she suddenly changed her tone at Huy, “SOMEBODY didn’t bother checking if I was okay.”

            “Hey, why are you always picking on me?!” Huy complained.

            Jennifer, Lupe, and Brandon were in their own group of three. They were frowning in disappointment with what is happening to the Peridot army. Shirley, Joey, Julie, and Joseph were laughing together. Stan and Kalpesh eventually joined to talk to Huy about their past lives in Columbia together. Lupe was the only person of her group to watch her friends laughing in merriment.

            Brandon said softly, “Man, I am beat.”

            “We must have fought too much. Nothing’s going to break us apart though. I just hope Bunny is okay. We should go find him.”

            Lupe became worried. “Jennifer, your wounds!” Lupe had already placed wrapped tapings over Jennifer’s arms. “You’re still unable to fight again for a while.”

            “I don’t give a crap. That bunny of mine is in danger. I’m not losing any pet what-so-ever. Remember when we were watching videos on how fast food restaurants treat animals?”

            “That was such a short memory though…” Lupe thought about it from when Matt was dealing with Rena and the Forest of Emille. Jennifer began to explain to her:

            Jennifer slammed a paper down onto the desk in front of Matt, “This is why people don’t eat meat!”

            Matt took a look at the pictures that Jennifer presented to him. “What are these?”

            “Look closely.”

            “I am. No… no wait, YUCK. Is that an eyeball sticking out of the cow’s face?!”

            “What do you think it is? Have you also heard about seal clubbing?!”

            “Seal clubbing? There’s a club in this school that is all about seals?”

            “No, dummy.” Jennifer shook her head in disappointment from Matt’s unawareness. “Seal clubbing is considered a sport in Canada where people have to use a club to attack a lot of seals, as much as possible.”

            “Sounds like fun.” Matt joked. Jennifer slapped Matt on the face and Matt yelled, “AGGGH! That hurt! I was only kidding. No duh it’s sad.”

            “Then don’t joke about such a thing. These poor baby seals… I might even go vegetarian.” Jennifer said with an angelic tone.

            “Then be vegetarian.” Matt suggested without caring about how she was feeling.

            “No way! It’s too hard to manage. I’ve tried that already and I gave up.” She took the paper off of Matt’s desk and said, “Time to tell somebody else for the 646^th time. Bye bye!”

“You hated the fact that cows were treated horribly, so you tried to put this all over the school newspaper and stuff, didn’t you?” Lupe chuckled a little. “Don’t you eat animals?”

            “Well I tried becoming vegetarian. But still, eating already cooked animals is one thing, but beating up another animal is terrible. I mean, Rowen’s not even going to eat my precious bunny. I’m not going to let him beat my pet up and then get away with it!”

            “A strange sense of heroism.” Brandon joked.

            Lupe grabbed Jennifer’s arms. “Please, calm down. Our other friends in the hideout will take care of him for us.”

            Jennifer looked away. “Hmph. We don’t need any other friends. We have each other. Helping them once was enough.” She thought about how she wanted to help the main group stop Luther in Edmund. “That was different. We didn’t have powers. Only Brandon had something special. We had no choice but to ask for their help to stop Luther. Right now, we are all powerful yet we are still calling for help. It’s disgraceful to myself.” She kicked a can nearby her and then she walked away to steam off.

            Lupe said to Brandon, “Deep down, she probably doesn’t mean it…”

            “I know what you mean. I kind of like their group. They’re always so happy even though they insult each other.”

            Lupe grinned. “Jennifer is Jennifer though. She’s still a good leader to me. I just hope that everything is really okay in there.” She was eying at the hideout.

            Jaime was chasing after Droan on the first floor above the other students in the hideout. There was smoke everywhere, however. He paused for a moment. Jaime thought carefully about the blueprints of the hideout. “Okay seriously? I’ve been chasing after this guy through a straight hallway for several minutes now. What’s wrong with this building?”

            “Ha ha! So you’ve barely figured it out? I’ve raised the air current below you by using smoke. While you were running, I turned your body several times as if you were running left and right, back and forth.”

            Jaime clenched his teeth. “Tch, how did I not notice that?” He became calm again. “Well, being in frustration is usually not my kind of thing, unlucky for you.” Jaime said happily.

            “Wow. So you’re the calm, careless one in your group, eh?”

            “I guess you can say that. I barely do much for them, but they still treat me like a part of them.”

            Droan made the smoke disappear. Droan appeared in front of Jaime at last. “Hmph. Rowen is like that too. He treats me really well. He’s pretty much the perfect best friend for me.”

            Jaime began to notice something strange. “Hm?” He thought carefully.

            “If you’re trying to stop him, then the game’s up! You’ve automatically lost. Anietta, Narisa, and I will stop you guys before you can touch him.”

            “Something’s a little off with your dedication here…”

            Droan took out a large cigar and then a lighter came afterwards. “Would you like a cigar too?”

            “Uh, no thank you…” He said in confusion of Droan’s sudden change of personality. “Say, care to tell me more about this best friend of your’s?”

            “What? I thought you knew about Rowen. He’s the nicest guy out there. He treated us well.”

            “Then what happened to you?” Jaime began interrogating him. Droan suddenly froze. “There it is.” Jaime said to himself.

            Droan tried to speak. “R-R…”

            “Is there something wrong?”

            “Rowen… IS A GOOD PERSON!!” Droan suddenly lashed at Jaime with the smoke coming out of his cigar. Jaime covered his face with his hat and then he turned into his shadow form. The smoke was too strong. Jaime began coughing and his shadow form was not working well in this situation.

            Jaime constantly avoided Droan’s attacks. Droan spoke, “Great. You chase me all this way and then you suddenly decide to stop?! Fight me, now! Put me out of my misery!”

            Jaime’s heart skipped a beat from the astonishing surprise. There were two main reasons that came to his mind. “W-What?! Did he just…” The last thing that Droan commanded Jaime to do was completely off and different from his usual determination to fight. Also, Jaime thought about his own past with his friends. He wanted to die once. “You can’t just tell people to kill you.” Jaime jumped away from Droan’s smoke attack.

            Droan continued to attack Jaime. “Die! Take this! I hope you suffocate!”

            Jaime tried to find his way down the hall and he saw steps heading downward. The steps would lead him into the right exit of the first basement. Each floor had a round hallway. Running east would eventually lead to the west and vice versa. It was like a circle on each floor from eagle’s eye view. Jaime headed downstairs.

            Meanwhile, Venus and Alex were still on the left end of the first basement. Venus tried to whip Narisa, but she only jumped backwards. “That’s it. You want to play? We’ll play!” Venus stretched her whip and then she ran towards Narisa mindlessly.

            Alex closed his eyes. “Damn it, Venus. Why do you always barge in like that?!”

            Narisa easily avoided Venus’s attacks by barely turning left and right. “Hya, hya! Come on, you skinny bastard!” Venus tried tricking her. Instead of using her whip, she took a dive with her fist and aimed at Narisa’s face. Narisa’s body bent sideways. “Um, ew?”

            “This is what skinny people like me can do. We stretch really well.”

            “What’s next? The splits?” Venus rolled her eyes.

            Narisa suddenly changed. “Oh, oh! You wanna see?!” She began doing the splits. “I can do this too!” She did the cartwheel next and she was rolling towards Alex.

            “H-H-Hey, don’t touch me!!” Alex ran around circles in the narrow hallway. “GET HER AWAY!”

            “I can’t control it yet though!” Narisa commented.

            “How are you doing a cartwheel in a circle then?!” Alex replied.

            Venus felt confused. “Ugh. The last thing we need is more stupidity.” She suddenly heard more footsteps and vulgar language from down the hallway. “Speaking of stupidity… That sounds like your friend now.” She remembered Droan’s voice.

            From the distance, Jaime appeared and behind him was a large blimp of smoke chasing after him. “Ruuuuun!!!!!!” Jaime yelped.

            Venus panicked. “MORE STUPIDITY?!” Before she could take off, Jaime crashed into her and the smoke covered all of their surroundings. The whole group was coughing.

            Alex stood up and then he created an Aqua Tornado to make all of the smoke go away. Most of it turned into beautiful mist. Venus took a look around. “Wow. You could have done that earlier on the upper floor.”

            “Being ambushed so suddenly wasn’t something I would want to get into. Now was a clearer time with the fat lady gone anyway.”

            “Wow, rude.” Venus said. “You forgot to mention ‘round’.” She began to laugh with Alex.

            “This ain’t funny, you good-for-nothings!” Narisa threw a crate at only Alex’s head.

            “Ouch! Why is it always only me?!” Alex whined.

            Droan ran towards Narisa. The two of then stood next to each other. Venus had her whip ready. “Alright. This time, three versus two! Without the round lady, there would be less of a distraction. We can do this!”

            “How did you get down here anyway?” Alex asked.

            “No time for explanations. It’s time for the showdown!” Jaime threw a Shadow Ball at Narisa and then he shortly followed up with a Shadow Strike.

            “Attack your own opponent, idiot! She’s mine!” Venus yelled. Narisa avoided Jaime’s Shadow Strike but she was not fast enough to run from Venus’s Thunder Snap. Alex ran behind Venus and Jaime, but he created a Steam Blower to knock Droan down to the ground. Droan tried to use the smoke from his cigar to block Alex’s water, but the water obviously turned the smoke into mist.

            Narisa was on the ground after being electrocuted. She tried to stand back up. “I won’t stop so easily. This is for Rowen!!” She gathered all of the crates together by sucking them closer to her palms.

            “You actually like that weirdo?” Venus wondered.

            “I’ll explain later. For now, knock them down like what Alex did!” commanded Jaime.

            “But that’s not going to kill them.” Venus zapped Droan before he could get up.

            “That’s the point! Don’t kill them. Knock them out!”

            Narisa covered Droan with a crate. With the defense, Droan was able to stand without disruption from Venus. Droan directly threw his cigar at Alex. Alex screeched and quickly made a Water Subordination just like when he fought Matt back at the Cranium Heights. He then used the water in front of him to splash the cigar dry.

            With Alex negating every one of Droan’s attacks and Venus interrupting Narisa’s wooden powers, Jaime was able to take the clearing. He created a Shadow Duplication of himself and then both Jaimes began making two Shadow Balls. The original Jaime began sweating. Narisa tried to get up. “W-What do you think you’re doing?!”

            Jaime could barely make Shadow Balls big enough to pick up both Narisa and Droan. He dropped the two characters onto the floor which knocked them out. Jaime wiped his hands. “T-That… should finish them.”

            Alex and Venus smiled. They gave each other a high-five for their victory!

Winny: IT IS MY BOYFRIEND. You shall not hurt him!

Winny: At least I can get a boyfriend unlike your fat little self.

Anietta: E-Excuse me?!

Jaime: Now that we’re through with these two… I’d like to talk about what these people are after.

Venus: What do you mean ‘what these people are after’?

Jaime: They were reborn… a different way.

Venus: Jaime knows the truth about these people? Next time on episode 193, Nowhere to Run, in the Courtyard of Gravity!

Alex: Why am I getting screentime while being useless at the same time? Am I that awesome?

Venus: Nope.

Alex: Shut up!
