Characteristics - Johan is the more aggressive counterpart of his best friend, Ghoul. He often blames and yells at Ghoul for their mistakes. This is especially stated through their battle against William.

Although seen as a strong individual, he depends on others for support.

Appearance - Johan has blueish-purplish hair. His expressions are usually solid, bold, and also cold since he shows no mercy. Aside from the ironic fact that he cannot battle on his own even with a machine gun, his appearance appears as a light-weighted student.

Story preference (SPOILERS) -

Rowen Arc:
Johan first appears in this arc as one of the Peridot Soldiers along with his friend, Ghoul, and many other El Monte students. However, he was not closely bonded as friends with the other students. Instead, he took orders from only Rowen by fighting against Yessenia's group with the help of Ghoul. They fight against William in the end.

Going back to Tigre Village, Johan is stuck outside, stopping some of the El Monte students from succeeding on obtaining the Telsi Potion.

Sunlit Mayhem Arc:
As the arc begins, Johan and Ghoul are taken as prisoners and are stuck this way throughout most of the arc. They become side-characters, but are not as antagonizing as before.
