The final world has finally opened up. The world of Edmund is gray and gloomy as ever. Memory losses have become an issue, but death is a more important factor to take note of. Each power wielder now has to face the truth as to why they are who they are. Are some born different? Many people would want to show their worth to the world while one may claim that saving the world is the most important ordeal to go through. Many students will show their impact and reason through existence, past, and of course, Rena’s storytelling. Of course, she has lots to tell but there is little time left. What will the group decide to do next in the world of Edmund…?
Episode 101 - The Tower of Despair Finally Arises!
It was back at the present time. Matt opened his palms and then he looked at both of his hands calmly, “So… that is how I got my fire powers.”
“Yes.” Santi replied. “All this time, you have believed that you got your powers from a gleam of the sky. I never wanted to say anything. It would ruin the plan to get you strong enough to reach Edmund, along with the secrets of Edmund. This world was never the future of Edmund, although you have heard how much Mariel wanted to fix this world from continuing the Freezing Impact.”
“And she’s trying her best to turn this parallel universe into the same version of where we live in.”
Shirley joined the conversation, “It’s impossible and completely wrong for her to change the world if you think about it. Having two of the same universes would mess up the fate of both worlds. Then… what is the meaning of completing these worlds if we can’t fix this one?”
Santi answered her, “That is the problem. Every world needed to be fixed, except Edmund. Edmund is the end of the road – for us.”
Matt and Shirley froze in surprise. Matt stuttered a little. “I-I can’t believe it… are you trying to say there’s no way to beat this Diablo?!”
“There seems to be no way. As the year went by, Winny had learned so much from the Diablo. Two notable things are: She began to lose hope in winning, so all she could do was to stay silent and lead you guys on to this world, and the other is that my time powers have completely malfunctioned. All I have left is this scimitar.”
“And if any more time is wasted, then…” Shirley said slowly.
Santi nodded without a word. Matt’s heart skipped a beat from astonishment, “That can’t be true. That can’t! Just because your powers malfunctioned? You told the story yourself. If we beat Luther, he will give everything back to us! Erica, Jen’s memory, our normal abilities to survive on Earth, everything!”
“Even so, will he do it?” Santi questioned. “I am sure that Luther would rather die than to grant us everything. He will die either way.”
Matt yelled, “There must be an easy way out of this and you two know it!” Matt turned to the tower, “You guys will see! I’ll show him who’s boss!” Matt ran off and Santi tried to stop him but Matt quickly ran off.
There was a moment of silence. Shirley became curious all the sudden, “So… where do I come in from your past story?” Santi rolled his eyes as he continued walking towards the tower. “Santi? Helloooo?~”

Yessenia arrived at the tower first with her blunt sword. Stan was just ready to open the door so that he could go out and fight any enemies who were in his way. Along his side is Jen, who was completely confused about what was going on. Yessenia yelled in commandment, “Give me our friend, Mariel, back!”
“What makes you think she’s in here? The tower just grew out of the ground a few minutes ago.” Stan held tightly onto Jen’s left arm.
“She most likely knows about the tower by now. She is obviously the biggest threat to whoever your master is, so of course she would be taken there to test her abilities.”
“Ah, you’re a smart one. Why can’t Matt have your logic?” Stan laughed.
“I do not have time for your compliments.” Yessenia gripped onto her blunt sword, “Out of the way, or you are going to get it!”
Stan summoned a long sword and then he pointed it at Yessenia, “Try me!”
The Diablo, Luther appeared in between then with thunderous light. A dark aura appeared around Luther. He said to them, “Enough!” His voice was extremely demonic. “Do not meddle with those who are nearby. I will handle that. Stan, take care of others who are coming closer.”
Stan agreed with him, “Yes, your majesty.” He ran ahead with Jen.
Jen turned around to Yessenia, “A friend… of Matt?”
Yessenia said to Luther, “And who the hell are you?”
“I am Luther, master of all beings of Edmund! You are not afraid of me, or what?”
“I have no reason to be afraid. Let me into your tower!” Yessenia said as she quickly decided to attack Luther.
Luther pointed a zapping thunder straight towards Yessenia. Yessenia jumped high enough to avoid his attack. Luther laughed, “I see you’re pretty strong! Winny has taught you well.”
“Do not bring Winny into the conversation!” Yessenia spun her sword and she caused an Air Tornado which flew towards Luther. Luther only negated such attack and then he pointed another finger at Yessenia. This time with his speed, he was able to catch up to her and Yessenia got electrocuted.
Yessenia fell to the ground, coughing. “Why you…! Ergh…”

Meanwhile during the interruption between Luther and Yessenia, Danny took a few baby steps behind the tower. He whispere to Alex, “Sh! Remember, if things get too crazy, tell me and I will teleport us back to our world. Right now, we’re going to sneak in through the back, hehe!”
“Are you sure it’s going to be safe?” Alex was highly concerned at the fact that their safety could be in danger. “What if this Diablo guy sees us? We’ll die for sure!”
“Like I said. We’ll just teleport out of here if things get dangerous. Come on, follow me! No one is watching us right now.”
“O-Okay, whatever you say. I hope we can find Mariel in that tower though.”

Winny was heading towards the tower. She was one of the last students to head on over. To her surprise, the Diablo appeared before her with a dark aura. He opened his hand, “Welcome again, Winny. Would you like to be escorted to the tower immediately? I have two people that you must watch after.”
Winny was frozen in fear. It seemed as though his image surpassed Winny’s power of a brave personality, “L-Luther!” She tried to calm down, “Who are these two people?”
“You can go check them yourself if you go now.”
“Okay then, take me there.” Winny agreed. Luther threw a batch of dark aura around Winny so that she could be transported into the tower in an instant.
“Watch over them!” commanded the Diablo.

Shirley and Santi had gone through buildings in school and they were getting closer to the tower. Shirley became tired, “Ugh, how far is this tower when it is only just a school’s distance from there?!”
Santi made a pause. “The time lapse in Edmund is alternating. That means the distance is being altered from our minds.”
“What are you trying to say, that we are running at a very slow speed or what?”
“Exactly. It may seem like we are running fast but in our vision, everything is stretched.”
Shirley was grumpy. She said in anger, “Hmph! If only you could use your time powers to restore everything. Geez.” She decided to walk.
“Walking won’t make things any better.” Santi said.
Shirley reached the corner and then she bumped into Stan from the left. Stan fell to the ground after running so fast. “Argh! What the heck?!” Stan looked up to see Shirley.
Jen scooted away, “Oh my… Aren’t they friends of Matt? I saw them before.”
“They’re bad friends who took my best friend away.” Stan said. He stood up, “Then again, Matt’s the one who chose to go to you guys.” He took out his long sword, “Prepare to die right here!”
Shirley squealed, “Eek! Santi’s powers are gone so I’m the only one who is able to fight back!” She ran behind Santi, “Ah!”
Santi rolled his eyes. “Shirley, I have a scimitar.”
“That won’t do you any good.” Stan laughed. “Let’s see if you two can stand a chance against me!”

Mariel reached the room where Rena and Stinna were hiding in. Mariel closed the door behind her and then she said to them, “Are you two…?”
Rena opened her eyes. Her powers were weakening! “Mariel…!”
Mariel gasped. “Oh my gosh! So it is you, Rena! How can I get you out of there?”
Rena shook her head, “Please, do not do it.”
Stinna added, “The Diablo can come back any second, literally. Protect yourself and run away!”
Mariel was confused. She did not know how easy it could have been for Luther to teleport back into his tower in an instant. “How can he do that? He’s probably out there fighting others. Now’s your chance to run, come on!” Mariel tried to press a bunch of random buttons on the machine beside the capsules which kept Rena and Stinna in.
The room began to ring loudly and the Diablo was alert. Luther appeared with a dark aura all around the room with utter anger. Mariel covered her face from the strong wind that could easy break anything in the room with just a swift of gust. “Who dares interrupt the process of the Awakening?!”
“The Awakening?” Mariel repeated. “What are you talking about?”
“Once these two lose all of their energy, the stream of light in Edmund will become no more and the world will be mine! Ha ha ha!”
“That’s crazy! Are they the last ones with this ‘stream of light’ or what?!”
Luther took out a shiny blade, “They are the only ones who still has hope for Edmund. This is why they possess such light in their hearts. However, there is still one more person out there that I need to find. With him, I can make a complete creation to this world of Edmund!”
Mariel readied her water powers, “Not if I can stop you!”
Winny opened the door behind Mariel. Mariel turned around. Luther laughed with an evil tone, “Ha! Looks like your luck has disappeared. Winny! Take care of this annoying brat while I go into the next and last room to finish up with the energy level.”
Mariel turned back to Luther, “Finish up with the energy level? Are you going to completely take Rena’s energy away?!”
The Diablo continued walking, “That is entirely correct.”
Mariel faced Winny, “And what are you doing?”
Winny said slowly, “The Diablo, Luther… is my master.”
Mariel froze, “He… is?” Winny nodded and Mariel continued speaking, “But why? Why would you do such a thing for an evil demon who is trying to rule a world of despair? We can change that, Winny. We can change Edmund to the world of Earth so that everything is proper for the future!”
Winny began having tears, “No, it’s all over now, Mariel. You don’t get it, do you?”
“Don’t get what?”
“This world was never meant to be just like Earth. This world… is meant to gain life from its moon. Its moon is our sun in our world. Edmund is no future of ours. Changing this fact would be considered the most terrible thing, universally.”
Mariel shook in fear, “Are you saying it is impossible? Then, why do you know so much about this?! Aren’t you the one who knows about Edmund the most out of all of us?” Winny did not say a word. “WINNY! I’m talking to you!”
Winny fell on her knees, “For almost throughout the whole school year, I had been hiding in and out of these situations in order to lead all of you into this world. This was the order of the Diablo. There was no way out of it for me. But, please understand that you must try your best to challenge me.” Her dark aura appeared around her.
Mariel said slowly, “The giddy side of you isn’t able to control you right now…” Mariel did not understand that Winny once had hope that she could go against Luther. But now, all the hope was gone. Winny has finally decided the side that she will be fighting for. Mariel sighed, “Fine. I don’t get you at all, Winny. But, if I have to stop you here and now, then we will right. Our friendship will have to take a few steps back if that’s how you want things to be!” She summoned a large amount of water above her.

Matt could finally see the tower up close. In front of the entrance was a girl lying on the ground with a little boy kneeling down for her. Matt ran closer to them and he could see Willy trying to add bandages to Yessenia’s arms. Matt got closer and he asked them, “What happened?!”
Willy looked miserable. He pointed at the tower, “That meanie in there has my sister and he hurt this lady!”
Matt sat down in front of Yessenia, “Are you okay, Yessenia?”
Yessenia coughed but she was almost normal, “Yeah… The Diablo just hurt me a little. Do not worry about me though. The tower is only a few steps away. Let us go.”
Yessenia was about to stand up but Matt pushed her shoulders back down, “No, you’re very hurt. We can’t risk any more for you.”
“I am fine. Do not worry about me.”
Willy tugged onto Matt’s pants, “My sister is in there… let me go with you two.”
“But it’s dangerous up there!” Matt objected.
Yessenia whispered, “Leaving him here unattended would be even more dangerous. At this moment, we have no time to give him to somebody else in our world. And in Arkon’s Magic, he will not be able to feed himself.”
Matt sighed but he was forced to agree. “Alright… but try not to do anything stupid.”
Yessenia chuckled, “That is very ironic of you to say...”

Mariel: Winny! I swear, if you don't let me through, the whole world of Edmund could be in danger!
Danny: Let's see if my powers are up to good use! Anyone feel an earthquake coming?
Shirley: I don't...
Danny: B-Be quiet!
Mariel: I'm not all just beauty! Here comes my trumph card!
Yessenia: Find another way up!
Stan: You two again...
Matt: Three more episodes left until we discover the fate of the world. Next time on episode 102, The Young Boy Willy and Sister Stinna!
Winny: Do the impossible. Heh heh.
