Episode 67 – Raise the Battlefield! - Matt vs. Raiden!
Recently, Santi was fighting against Captain Silver summoned ten furballs but one by one, each of the little minions fell by Santi’s hands.
Matt tried to devise his own plan to fight back against Raiden. Fire was not so effective on thunder so he had to vigorously fight back. However, it was not easy for Matt. Matt’s tactic was to run.
Speaking of running, this was Danny’s only tactic when dealing with a Halfling such as Toppo, the man who seems to stalk Danny wherever he runs.
Last but not least, Jaime met Sirius, a joking little cloud-mist man. They were kind to each other until Jaime realized that Sirius was indirectly trying to kill him with a mist that blocked Jaime from breathing. In response, Jaime decided to fight back and defeat Sirius…

Matt continued to run for his life, avoiding every single thundershock that Raiden triggered. “Why are you running away? Did you not come here for a reason?!” Raiden has a smirk on his face. He felt that he was going to easily win the battle. Matt ran behind a tree and Raiden zapped the tree, causing it to collapse. Raiden stopped in midair on his dark cloud, “Oh? Are you going to fire that up like you did last time again?”
Matt laughed, “Hah! Not this time. I’m smarter than that.” Matt held onto the edge of the tree, “I got another plan!”
Raiden gave a bored expression, “My, you’re not planning to throw that, are you?”
Matt tried to carry the giant tree but it was too heavy. Matt stomped on the tree, “Damn, why are you so heavy?!” Raiden still watched Matt from midair. Matt took a tree branch instead and he attempted to throw it at Raiden. Raiden zapped it and it burnt into a crisp. Matt scratched his head, “Well I guess my plan didn’t work again.”
“I had enough of your childish games.” Raiden pointed a finger at Matt.
Matt quickly made his feet burst into flames as he glided away, “I’m not letting you!” Matt was gliding away.
“You can’t even fly. You’re just gliding off the floor to escape faster. What do you call that?”
Matt turned around and he threw a fireball at Raiden. Raiden moved his head and Matt clenched his teeth, “Well if you were stronger, you would have been able to kill me by now.” Matt said it in such determination that it led Raiden to become sick of Matt.
“Don’t be ridiculous!” Raiden used his thunder stick to zap Matt. The difference between his finger and the thunder stick was that Matt was able to tell where the attack was going to hit, if Raiden used his finger. As for the thunder stick, the lightning bolt could appear anywhere. Matt looked up and another lightning bolt zapped Matt for two seconds.
Matt knelt down to the ground, coughing. “AUGH!!” Matt was zoning out for a few more seconds. There was only a part of him that was still sane, “(I can’t let him… kill me here!)” Matt tried to get up but he was bleeding from his mouth and blood was running down from the top of his head. “I don’t care how painful your stupid thunder bolts are…”
“How are you still getting up?”
“Your advantage is starting to piss me off!” Matt said very angrily as he began to fire up all around his body. He seemed unable to control his powers! Matt’s feet made him glide and he was able to fly. His anger triggered a tremendous amount of power. “You think you can just attack me on and on until I die?!” Matt tried to punch Raiden, one after another. They were both floating.
Raiden was barely avoiding Matt’s attacks. His expression seemed more serious and nervous now. “What the hell?! How are you still up?!” Raiden flew down and he spun his thunder stick. Matt followed him down and Raiden aimed for him.
Matt threw an unexpected large fireball and Raiden got knocked off his cloud as he fell onto the ground. Matt was still completely fired up. “I’m gonna find that damn culprit that possessed Yessenia if that’s the last thing I’ll do. She’s the one who helped me survive all the way from since the near beginning. It is my turn to help her out and you’re not stopping me!”
Matt threw another fireball but Raiden pointed his finger at it to shatter it with a thunder shock. Matt reached Raiden at a fast speed and he kicked Raiden but Raiden negated the attack with his right arm. Matt then spun after he kicked and he was up in the air again. He threw another fireball and Raiden was hit on the chest. Raiden spun his thunder stick and he summoned a lightning bolt towards Matt. Matt was zapped again. He fell to the ground and all of his fire wrung out. Matt was already at his limit, especially when his advantaged flames had disappeared from him.
Matt was coughing out blood and there were bunches of scratch marks on him. “I… won’t let you… win!” Matt was almost flat on the floor, however. He could not get up.
“No matter how much you try, you’ll always lose even after getting back up. Just stop trying, fire boy. Nyeh, heh, heh, heh!”

Danny decided to run through Sector Eight which was neighbors to Sector Nine. There, he found Mariel on the floor along with a girl who held onto a giant bazooka. They were both fainted. Danny made a pause and ran towards Mariel, “Mariel, Mariel! Are you okay?!” She did not answer him. “No… are you… dead?” He looked over at the girl, “She’s bleeding!” Eventually, he noticed that the two of them had a gunshot on their body.
“Dannnnny-boooooy!~ Why would you run away from me?!~” He saw Danny kneeling down before Mariel. Toppo could also see Levi, “Levi, miss bazooka girl! OH MY GOODNESS!” He skipped his way towards Levi, beautifully, “Are you damaged, beautiful?!”
Danny said blankly, “You called her beautiful. Just what are you?”
“I am what you want me to be!~” He stood up and he pointed at Danny with dissatisfaction, “You did this while I was trying to find you, didn’t you?!”
“Wah- Me? But I-!”
“Don’t you lie to me, Danny-boy! I know someone like you would do this even after running for so long.” He began to squirm in happiness, “Finally!~ A strong opponent,” His head came closer to Danny after each word, “Just. For. Me.~”
Danny took a few steps away and he made the ground rise right under Toppo. Toppo almost tripped and he became serious. Danny yelled, “Get away I tell you!”
Toppo frowned, “Danny-boy, why would you attack me?~ I guess this is how it is!”
Danny pointed a finger at the ground below Toppo but Toppo only spin like a ballerina to avoid the breaking floor. Danny picked up a large piece of rock and he threw it at Toppo. Still, Toppo spun beautifully through the wind to avoid the rock. Danny got angry and he threw several more but Toppo showed more beauty in his spins the more Danny tried to throw rocks at him. While spinning, Toppo was getting closer to Danny. Eventually, even after all the thrown rocks, Toppo faced right in front of Danny. Danny only flinched.
“Fling!~” Toppo poked Danny’s forehead with all fingers on his right hand. Danny flew backwards in a somewhat far distance.
Danny fell onto a boulder-like wall nearby them. He was on the ground, grasping for energy. “Ow! Ow, ow! That hurt!”
“Oh yoohoo, of course it would! It is the beauty of what my fingers can do!”
“That is not right at all!” Danny cried.

Santi was facing against Captain Silver and two more furballs. Silver stabbed the floor with his scimitar, “That is the final straw! I’ve had enough of your games. You may have taken down eight of my furballs but there will be no more of them falling from the likes of you. Take the next stage!”
“Stage?” Silver made his scimitar shine against the floor. Rocks from his surrounding area began to break off from the floor. Santi opened his palm, “What in the world?!” He tried to use his time powers to stop him but Silver blasted the rocks from his circled area and outward. The rocks all scattered and Santi took a few hits from the rocks that were facing him. “Ergh!!”
Captain Silver laughed, “Heh! That’s it!” Captain Silver made more rocks float into the air.
“Not this time!” Santi yelled. Captain Silver made the entire rocks fly outwards again but Santi used his time powers to stop the ones that faced him. He took a giant piece of rock from below and he smiled, “I have been practicing this for awhile now.”
“How to pick rocks?”
“Be quiet!” Santi focused on the rock that he had on his hand. Captain Silver laughed again and he made even more rocks float from the ground.
Santi threw his own rock in the air and he used his palm to make a force push against it, causing it to fly very fast towards Captain Silver. The rock hit him on the face before he could command his own floating rocks. Silver was bleeding on the forehead from where the fast rock hit. “Oh, you, bastard! I’m not done yet!”
Santi grinned, “Perfect! I can speed up certain objects!” He knelt down and he smacked the floor.
“You’re just filled with a bunch of tricks, aren’t you? I have some of my own as well! Level Three Stalagmite!”
“What?!” Santi watched carefully.

Raiden broke his thunder stick into two pieces. “And to make sure you don’t get back up with your stupid blast of fire, I’ll make sure you die this time!” He spun both of his sticks with each hand and said, “This stick is my own specialty. It can reattach itself when I see fits. You’re in for one hell of a shock!”
Raiden used his left stick to point towards the cloudy sky right above him. He pointed the other one at Matt, “Once I shock you with my right stick, the left one will cause a double reaction that is two times stronger than my regular thunder bolts. Once the thunder hits the clouds right above you, it will ricochet right down and cause a massive destruction. You’ll shatter into bits! Nyeeeeh, heh, heh, heh!”
Matt slowly got up, “Your… laughter is driving me insane.” Matt held onto his left arm to make sure that it was not going to faint on him, “I was surprised to not see this anytime sooner.” Matt softly smiled.
“What’s with that grin on your face, huh?!” He tried to zap Matt with his right thunder stick but Matt glided upwards towards the clouds.
Raiden quickly used his left thunder stick to zap the clouds so it would ricochet on Matt but at the same time, Matt used his fireballs to scatter the clouds away. The ricochet missed and it zapped a random area on the ground which exploded into many pieces. Matt watched the explosion and he said to himself, “Oh geez! Was that going to be me?!” He said in a scare, “Damn.”
“Tch! That doesn’t matter. I don’t get how you’re still moving!”
Matt coughed up an amount of blood as he fell back to the floor. “Augh!”
“Ah, there we go. Fate is in favor of me, not you.”
“Don’t be ridiculous.” Matt wiped the blood away from his mouth, “It feels a bit disgusting but at this point it doesn’t matter to me either!” He got up and he ran towards Raiden but he was feeling a bit tipsy from his weakness.
Raiden connected his thunder stick together and he raised it towards the sky, “Running straight for me is not the best idea!”
Matt remembered what he learned from Santi while in Arkon’s Magic.
“Look, you are fighting very directly. You made sure I was watching you. If I was your enemy, you would not want me to wait and watch you directly on what you are going to do or else I would retaliate with something like this.”
Those were the exact words from Santi. Matt was thinking about it while he was running. A thunderbolt appeared from the sky at the same time Matt swerved to the side. He quickly came as close as possible towards Raiden and he threw a fireball. Raiden retaliated by zapping it away. However, while he was busy eradicating the fireball, Matt was already the closest he can get. Matt glided right onto Raiden’s chest and everything felt slower then. “Why, don’t, you, just… DIE!”
Matt opened his palms right in front of Raiden and he blasted a large amount of flames right on his face. The force was so strong that it sent Raiden flying backwards and he got smacked against a tree. He left a dent on the tree as well. The sudden explosion on Raiden’s face caused him to burn out and faint. Matt jumped back onto the ground in a stance and he said in exhaustion, “Phew… I bet one or two more little thunder shocks would have made me completely faint… I hope it’s over now…” He stood up but he coughed out another batch of blood. He knelt down, telling himself, “I shouldn’t push myself too much… there’s twelve Halflings total.”
At this point, Marri, Levi, and now Raiden have all fallen. There are nine more Halflings left and there are five students remain…

Santi: Finally, I am going to end this battle between me and Captain Silver once and for all. Will I be able to get through with this?
Danny: W-W-Who is that? He has... a sniper!
Vialaro: You are weak. Out of my way.
Matt: One will win, one will lose. The battle continues in the jungle of Echoville and the numbers between us humans and their Halflings are depleting fast. Next time on episode 68, Captain Silver and Toppo, Which Will Survive?!
Siren: I am your Mistress, dear child.
