Episode 120 - A Fatiguing Work in the Factory

Nix here! I’m here to talk about the importance of Olympia! No, it has not been forgotten! Olympia is a very ancient world where lots of the Gods live in. They still do, but the students right now can’t enter the world anymore. The world’s completion was based on fate. Matt and his friends had to save Erica countless of times and in order for fate to continue, Erica had to turn into stone. The reason why Olympia is important is because of Luther himself. The world of Olympia gave us the impression that Luther must have belonged from the ancient world. With the help of the Paradox Amulet, he was able to exploit these powers by turning these essences into injections. This is where Winny comes in.
Episode 120 – A Fatiguing Work in the Factory

            The concentration camps nearby the West Bridge were now nothing more than a bunch of ruckus. Many of the peasants continued on with their work but whispers were being thrown all over the place. Rumors spread really quick and the names of Matthew and Yessenia constantly roamed around the field. Even after Matt’s and Yessenia’s mystery escape, the words did not stop at all.
            “Matthew Tran… He didn’t even recognize me,” said the peasant boy who crashed into Matt during the escape.
            The young, petit girl said in happiness, “Oh come on Alex, I’m sure he noticed you. Didn’t you see his face?”
            “Then he would have dragged us along with him, Venus!”
            “Awrh, don’t you worry about that!” Venus tried to cheer him up.
            “And when can we leave? We’re stuck here!”
            “Stop thinking like that.” She commanded. “You know what they say. ‘A man who thinks the same, will never think differently.’”
            Alex threw the rake onto the ground as if he were about to give up. “Okay one, I never heard of that. And two, that was not inspiring at all! I just want to get out of this nasty place.” From then, a bunch of horses and carriages had arrived into the camp. More vegetable seedlings and maneuver were brought for more farming material. “And the slave-work never ends!” He began to rage in annoyance.
            Venus tried to grab onto his shoulders, “A-Alex! Calm down. We’re going to get through this, you know that.”
            “No we’re not! Our cellphones are jacked up.”
            “What kind of language is that? Alex, all we have to do is keep on living. I’m sure something will stir up eventually. You’ll just have to believe me on this.”
            “How do you know? Aren’t you even worried a single bit?”
            “Mmm… nope! If Matt and Yessenia can escape, then we can too.”
            “We’re not them, Venus. So many different things can happen to us.”
            One soldier headed towards them with an Arquebus long gun, “Hey! Don’t just stand there!”
            With rage, Alex uncontrollably turned around and yelled back, “YOU don’t just stand there!”
            Venus gasped in surprise, raising her hands over her mouth. The soldier attacked Alex on the stomach with the grip end of the gun, “Get back to work!!” Alex harshly fell to the ground, feeling the pain.
            Venus reached down to help Alex. She gave out her hand, “Come on, get up.”
            “And what do you think you’re doing?” The soldier asked her. A moment of silence was brought up for a few seconds and the soldier sighed. “That does it. Instead of working here, we should take you into the factory for more finger works. It’s one step closer to the crematorium.”
            He threatened Alex and Venus with the gun, so the both of them had to follow his orders. It was ironic however to have most children work in the factory yet it is one of the toughest slave-work, along with being closer to the crematorium. It is easy for children to wear out compared to teenagers and adults.
 ~~~
            The factory was a bit moist. Lots of military clothing was being created by the hands of children, also blankets for soldiers to sleep in. Alex and Venus took sight of the whole building which reached to be about a 100 by 100-meter area. Many of the children’s faces were extremely purple and some were even completely filled with mud and dust. Often times, the children would be whipped by the soldiers. Venus had her hands on her hips. “Well that’s not very nice.”
            The soldiers ordered Alex to make clothing and Venus to make blankets on opposite ends of the room. The lieutenant was by the doorway. “These children are working pretty fast considering they are kids. Some actually deserve a break.”
            The soldier beside him said, “But sir, orders from the higher commandos deny us the right to give them any breaks.”
            “Why is that?”
            “Shouldn’t you know? These peasants aren’t working for us, they are working for our nation to protect the country.”
            “Well that’s a load of bull.” Chuckled Lt. Braus. “The higher commandos, or so you call them, are just tweaking their words around just to make these peasants look like heroes. Most of them don’t even mind working for us just because they have been brainwashed to think that they are all heroes.”
            The soldier was confused. “Why do you even say that?”
            “…Because… I have different point of views on my own. I’m not some follower. I became a lieutenant for my own reasons.” He decided to leave the building, forgetting the fact that he recently mentioned that the children should take a break. The soldier shrugged it off and continued supervising the factory.
            Alex threw a clear shirt onto the table. “Stupid soldiers and their annoying bastardness… they should just die.” He constantly whispered to himself in anger. “I should just rip each of their arms off and burn them into the stupid crematorium one by one with them watching. Stupid retards and their-…” While Alex was walking across the hall to get some more designs, a young boy accidentally crashed into him. Because Alex was taller, he did not fall or flinch much.
            A soldier nearby noticed the fall and accused that the boy was causing trouble again. “Hey, you! That is the third time you screwed up!”
            The boy began to cry, “I sorry! I sorry!”
            The girl nearby him helped him up. “You okay brother?” These were the same children of Melanie Dawes… Alex could see that the girl’s tears run down her blackened dusty face. The sight of her trying to help her brother up reminded him of how Venus tried to help him up.
            “Alright this is annoying me as hell. Get up! You’re coming with me.”
            Alex blankly stared at the incident. He thought in his mind, “They’re in trouble… I wonder where they’re going next after this then.” Then it hit him, the next stop is the crematorium! Alex was frightened. He wanted to stop the soldiers from taking the children but he was scared for his own life. If he spoke up, he would also be brought to the crematorium. It would be a miracle of anything stopped them all from going there at this point. Alex had no idea what to do. He froze.
            Another soldier helped grab a hold onto each child. Both the boy and the girl squirmed around, trying to set themselves free. Venus, from the opposite end of the room, turned over to the ruckus. Many other children were watching as well. Some soldiers nearby them tried to yell at the young ones to continue working. Venus decided to work on the blankets but she made sure she could see the incident from her peripheral corner visions of her eye.
            Two of the soldiers took the boy and the girl down the center hallway which was the largest hallway in the factory. They were headed through the other end of the room from where Alex and Venus entered. The next room was most likely the crematorium. One soldier whipped the boy and this caught Venus’s attention. “That is it…” She said.
            The two children were taken to the next room and the door closed. Some kids nearby were frightened, so they worked even harder. Alex came back to his senses now that the scene was over. He did, however, see that Venus reached the center hallway. She was walking, taking her time. Some soldiers began to notice, so they called out to her. Slowly, she decided to start power-walking. Alex wondered what she was doing. The soldiers began to run towards her and then that was when Venus started to run her fastest towards the crematorium. She turned her head to see how close the soldiers were. The soldiers were hesitant to shoot. In such a small space, it was risky to shoot especially when lots of machinery was nearby. About ten soldiers were in their own mob now, soon becoming fifteen of them.
Venus tried to time herself perfectly. She made sure that once she was nearby the door, the soldiers had to be extremely close to her. With the success, she suddenly kneeled down and many soldiers could not stop running. They accidentally tripped onto her. Venus felt some pain from all of the falling but it was worth seeing what happened next. Many soldiers hit their heads and bodies onto the door which caused a loud bang against the door and walls all around. Alex opened his mouth in awe. The loud noise echoed through the factory and out of it as well. A few horses from outside became alerted.
            The door opened and one yelled, “What the hell is going on here?!” Fifteen soldiers were stacked together right in front of the doorway. Venus jumped on top of all of them so that she was at a higher level than the one soldier inside the crematorium.
            She took a whip from one soldier below her and then she placed her hands on her hips, “Hehe! Heads up, big guy!” She jumped onto his head and then the other soldier in the crematorium tried to shoot her but he missed and shot at the machine. The boy and the girl who were strapped onto the machine were surprised. The machine zapped and became malfunctioned. Venus whipped both of the soldiers without stopping. “This is what happens when you start to abuse little kids. Feel this, you vile fiends, BUAH HAH HAH HAH!!” Both of the soldiers knocked out completely. Venus unstrapped the children and they both hugged her, crying.
            By now, most of the fifteen soldiers regained sanity and started standing up. However, almost all of the children were running everywhere and out of the factory. Alex was being pushed around by the crowd as he was only standing there. He did not know what to do in a situation like this. Venus decided to whip all of the soldiers and each fell one by one. The two kids ran across them and the girl turned around to say “Thank you lady!” Then, she ran off with the boy. They held each other's hands to make sure they were not split apart again like in the factory. Alex was last to leave the factory. Venus made sure that the soldiers were out cold and then she headed for Alex who was already near the exit from where they came from.
            Venus waved at him, “Alex! Alex, over here!” She giggled. Alex was surprised at the fact that she could pull off a plan such as freeing a whole bunch of children. Many horses outside were running around from the crematorium’s bang earlier, and now the stampede of children. Venus continued running while waving in happiness.
            Alex suddenly stopped smiling. He pointed beside her. “Look out, Venus!”
            As Venus was about to turn her head, one soldier stood up and shot the edge of Venus’s left leg. She screamed in pain, falling down onto her knees. Alex’s impulse led him to just run towards her in order to help her up. The soldier pointed the gun at them as both Alex and Venus were on the floor. “Don’t move!” The whole factory was quiet except the machines. Eventually, the unattended machines were becoming haywire. The creeks of needles began to rub against parts of the clothing and blankets and it began to fire up the building.
            The soldier turned around to check on the machines which were functioning terribly. This was the perfect chance for Alex to help Venus out of the factory. He dragged her from the ground and they escaped safely. The soldiers inside the factory panicked.
 ~~~
            Rushing out of the factory, the two teenagers examined the whole campsite. Many children ran everywhere, looking for their parents and of course the horses stampeded all over the place. Other teenagers and older women used their shovels and rakes to fend off against horses who were berserk and soldiers who tried to control them. Other soldiers tried to shoot down the horses’ hooves. Alex said to Venus, “What do we do?”
            Venus still had the whip on her hand. She had an idea. “We’re going to fight through the crowd and escape.”
            “What?!”
            Venus placed a finger over her mouth. “Shhhh! Can’t you see? This is the perfect time to escape. Hehe!” She ran ahead towards the crowd. Alex tried to reach out for her but it was too late. She already decided to act upon her plan.
            “W-Wait! Augh man, why does she keep doing this?” He tried to follow along with her.
 ~~~
            The lieutenant was watching the stampede from up above the guard watchtower. “This is insane.” He said bluntly without any emotion.
            The guard next to him yelled, “S-Sir! How could you say such thing without a single care in the world? We must regulate our campsite!”
            “Phew…” He took sight of the whole camp, “That’s a lot of work, don’t you think? Meh…” Lieutenant Braus began laughing. “Gah hah hah!” He could see Venus and Alex in the distance. “And to think that the two previous teenagers were the only ones who had enough. Seeing such things never gets boring!” Many soldiers from behind the lieutenant were frightened. He was clearly not being himself…
