Episode 252 - Go, My Fairies! The Deadly Robot Strikes

Recently on Fires of the sky, the El Monte students returned to Earth only to find it still frozen. As they return to Arkon’s Magic, the six main students, Matt, Yessenia, Jaime, Alex, Venus, and Winny all enter a bridge that leads them to the Elemental Challenges! Without further delay, they were forced to attend as the six members for the challenges. After the challenge had finished, the final match had made a wrong turn. West Covina had taken over and their leader, Colonel Artemis, has trapped most of the students into the Eternal Nothingness. With an urge to escape, the students struggle against West Covina and almost every one of them have lost brutally. Will they be able to make a comeback? Much more importantly, are they able to escape the Eternal Nothingness?
Episode 252 – Go, My Fairies! The Deadly Robot Strikes

Last time on Fires of the Sky, Matt and his group of friends slowly ventured through the Eternal Nothingness only to find a bunch of lighted grass. Eventually, Shirley was able to detect Claire and Venus. As the group spoke with Claire, she tells the group that Venus is a robot. Is that true?!

Catt suddenly stopped Yessenia, Jon, and Van from moving forward. Their area was still surrounded by dirt patches and dead land. “Meow… I can feel something bad coming.”
Flynn teleported in front of the group. “I memorized this area.”
Van gasped. “Oh that’s just great. Who is this?!”
Catt said to her new friends, “That is Flynn. His power is to memorize wherever he was before and manipulate it. In this case, he must have been here before which enabled him to teleport wherever he was before.”
“That’s such a broken magic.” Van pouted. “Where do they even get these?”
“Strong magical powers are appointed by the higher officials. They do not give these kind to any kind of student.”
Yessenia looked away. “I thought Santi’s time powers were quite broken but nobody complained.”
“It’s too bad he’s dead.” Flynn said while laughing.
“That’s a horrible thing to say!” Jon became annoyed. “You can’t talk about our friends like that!”
Flynn teleported behind them and then he blasted an aura. “Don’t spite me, boy.” Yessenia ran in front of the group and she neglected his attack with her long sword. Her long sword disappeared due to Flynn’s memory of her not carrying a sword. Catt jumped away from the group and then she created a cage that trapped all of the three students. She then filled the cage with rubber walls.
Van panicked. “What is this, Catt?! Did you turn on us?!”
“I knew she couldn’t be trusted!” Jon added. Yessenia said nothing.
Flynn teleported next to Catt. “Good job, Catt. It seems to have betrayed them in order to trap them. I find that quite clever if you. Now, let’s take them back to Colonel Artemis-…”
Catt quickly gave a rough kick to Flynn’s stomach. He fell backwards and Catt said angrily, “Don’t try to patronize me! I know who I am rooting for, and that is El Monte’s group. You clearly know they’re innocent, right?”
“Why did she cage us then?” Jon whispered to Yessenia.
“This is my battle.” Catt answered. “If West Covina is too stupid to listen to what is the right answer, then why have them continue fighting? I believe idiots aren’t allowed to fight because they don’t even know what they’re fighting for. Flynn, you’re a good example of an idiot!”
Flynn became frustrated. “ERAGH! So Claire was right, you did change!! That does it!” Flynn teleported in midair and then he blasted a memory spike towards Catt.
Catt took out a dagger and she tried to block his attack, but her dagger simply vanished. Jon tried to use his powers to stop Flynn from using his powers but the rubber made his attack bounce back at himself. Jon was suddenly dispelled of his powers. “What the heck?! M-My powers!!!”
Van screamed. “Oh my gosh, what are we going to do?!”
Flynn blasted the cage and it vanished. Yessenia had no long sword, but she could still battle. “Catt, do not be ridiculous. You cannot fight this man alone!”
While Jon was on the ground, grieving for his powers to return, Van decided to help battle against Flynn. Catt still stood in front of the group. “Not yet. I didn’t even get serious!” She jumped up and then she tried to give Flynn a scratch with her claws. Flynn barely even waved his hand towards Catt. Her cat gloves disappeared and her claws were no longer of use.
“Stop fighting him physically. He is only going to counter with a magic that can make anything vanish with the power of memorization!” Yessenia commanded.
“I’m not done yet!” Catt continued to scratch Flynn but Flynn only played around first. He made her shoes disappear whenever she tried to kick him. Then, he slowly cut off some of her hair.
“Stop right there, Catt!!!” Yessenia stomped her foot. She created a large Air Tornado that erupted in between the two West Covina students. Van tried to summon a parrot to peck on Flynn. Flynn made the parrot disappear while the Air Tornado vanished.
Van created another glyph below her. “Beast Entite – Wolves!” The wolves tried to pounce on him while Yessenia created another Air Tornado. With this dual attack, Flynn had trouble avoiding and teleporting to several areas. Catt fell to the floor with barely any more attacks left to go.
Van continued creating parrots and wolves so that Flynn had nowhere to teleport whether it was in midair or on the ground. Flynn then vanished completely. The whole group tried to search for him. Jon stood up. “Where is he now?!”
Flynn may not have been present, but his voice was clearly heard from the group: “I had a memorization that I wasn’t even here, but my presence myself is here.”
            “That’s so confusing.” Van complained.
Yessenia tried to throw wind all over the place. She noticed that although she may not be able to strike Flynn in his invisible form, he was not able to counterattack. “I know his weak spot, and I have the exact idea to challenge him.”

Emmy and Irene had arrived at a building covered in fog and mist. It was the same building where all of the capsules were held. “Shh.” Emmy said quietly. “We don’t know who is in here and who is waiting for us. We have to stay extra careful.” Irene suddenly felt a sharp pain on her shoulder. “Hey, are you alright?”
“Yeah, I am fine. A simple pain in the shoulder is not going to get in my way. We have to find your friend Shirley and get out of here.”
“We have to find her friends too. I don’t want to be selfish.”
“Tch, whatever you say.” She watched through the window and she could see a bunch of capsules. “There are a few recognizable people in that room.”
Emmy examined through the window. “How did they get in there?!” A large spear suddenly flew through the window and the two girls had to hide below it.
“Oh, must have been my mind.” Colonel Artemis said.
“What, is he even going to repair this window?!” Emmy squealed to herself.
“Emmy, what kind of fairies do you have?”
“Hm, let’s see… I have Ballooney the blimp, Piney the porcupine, Twinkle Toes the light, Scouttie the scout, and-…”
“Your scout fairy might come to use here.” Irene interrupted her.
Emmy pouted. “Hmph. You don’t want to see my Dancing Queen fairy? It’s a delight. Hehe.”
Irene blushed. “I-I will have to watch it later. Right now, we have more important matters to take care of.” Emmy became serious as she summoned her Scouttie fairy.
“Heyya! Need me for anything?” Scouttie said.
Irene scratched her head. “It would be odd to have a fairy just fly in like this.”
Emmy summoned her Twinkle Toes fairy. “How about I have my light fairy distract Colonel Artemis from a window on the other side while Scouttie goes in through this window?”
“That sounds like a great idea.”
“Alright. Scouttie, you should stay behind the capsules. If Colonel Artemis, the knight, is standing further away from the switches, you go ahead and switch them open!”
“Sure can do, Emmy-ma’am!” He saluted and then he waited until Twinkle Toes made the signal. As Twinkle Toes shined a light at another window, Colonel Artemis quickly threw a spear and it shattered the glass. The students inside the capsules watched him shamelessly attack his surroundings as it seemed as if he was doing this for no reason.
Alex and Romeo looked at each other, shrugging their shoulders in confusion. Scouttie then hurried to the capsules but Colonel Artemis stood still nearby the switches. Twinkle Toes whimpered. “Aw man, he’s still standing there.” She flew away. “Oh well! At least Scouttie got in, I think… Um, I should go back now!”
Emmy giggled. “Irene, Scouttie is now inside the capsule room. What now? We have to distract Colonel Artemis in some kind of way.”
Irene stood up. “Alright. Next up, the distraction.” She waved her hands at Colonel Artemis.
Emmy pushed her down. “Irene, for a strong and independent girl, you’re not so smart at planning!”
“You’re in my way! Do not tug into my pants!”
“But this is a bad idea!!”
            “Let go of me, Emmy!”
“Irene, no!! Stop this right now!”
            “You stop this!”
Colonel Artemis sighed. “I don’t even know what this is anymore…” In an instant, he had Irene and Emmy teleported into two more capsules.
Irene stomped the ground. “What the hell just happened?!”
Emmy rolled her eyes. “Ugh… I can’t believe losing is this easy… Oh well, at least these capsules are cozy.” She suddenly looked at her hands. “Darn it Irene, now my hands are red and blistered a little!”
Michael and Layla became annoyed at how easily these two girls were caught. Siyun said lazily, “I guess you could say she got caught… red-handed.”

Back in Matt’s group, Claire still spoke about Venus’s true form. “She is still a robot no matter what you say! Just look at her. She is heartless because she never had a soul to begin with!”
“But Venus, what about all the times we’ve had together?” Jaime asked kindly.
“I do not remember those sorts of memories. Who are you and what is your name?” Venus said in her robotic voice.
Nix began crying. Maggie froze in surprise. “I-I don’t believe this. How is she even a robot? Shouldn’t we have seen some malfunctioning in her body by now? She’s been through a lot.”
“Come to think of it, she has been through simpler situations than all of us.” Winny said. “Her battles are far too forward, simple, and thoughtless but still easy to manage. It is because of her robotic body which can bend at will. Her body is assembled to the advantage over humans who cannot bend their limbs as much as she can.”
“You think so?” Sith said, “I might as well challenge her first then! If she can outstand a human, then she cannot outstand a bug.” Sith quickly sped towards Venus in a zigzag motion.
In an instant, Venus slashed his whole chest with a short sword, top to bottom. She did not cut through his body entirely, but he was bleeding in large amounts. Shirley screamed. “Sith!!!” She ran towards him and she tried to freeze his large wound. “Please, hang in there.”
            “Why… do you care?”
“It doesn’t matter if you’re ugly. I still think you’re a good guy and people like you are always accepted in our group. We have to help each other especially in situations like this.” Shirley tried to smile, but her fear caused her to fall into tears.
Maggie tripped on her own shoe. “Oh my gosh… what kind of weapon was that?”
“That was no whip.” Jaime said. “What has she turned into?”
Venus’s short sword dripped in blood. Venus pointed at the group with her bloody sword. “The rest of the group – is next.”
She headed towards the group at an unimaginable speed. Jaime ran in front of the group and he used his shadow powers to cover all of the students behind him. The sword ran through his shadows instead. He was inflicted the same amount of pain, but no scars were given. Shirley and Winny could not unsee this misfortune between the whole group. Matt was petrified.
“(I… couldn’t save them?)” Matt thought to himself. Nix vanished into Matt’s spirit due to its own fear.
Maggie began to cry. “What is going on? Why is she doing this, why?!”
Claire raised her hands as she looked into the bright, purple sky. “This is the exact downfall that Sammy had envisioned. It is magnificent!”
Jaime said slowly as he fell, “Sammy… told me about this…”
“Once you students are done with, we will continue to take on our plan towards Earth. At this point, I will gain my freedom from hurt and pain for good!”
Matt and Maggie said at the same time, remembering the hieroglyphics, “The end of the world – 2009!”
Shirley could see both Sith and Jaime lying on the ground. Her ice powers were not sufficient enough to heal these men. “I’m… useless.”
While Maggie was shivering in fear, only Matt and Winny were left sane. Matt stood up. “Venus, no more. No more of this.”
Venus still went on, “Must – destroy – all – humans.” Lightning began sparkling around her body uncontrollably.
“Matt, there is no way out of this. It’s over. They win.” Winny said in shame.
Matt yelled at them, “NO! This is not the end. I’ve had enough of being pushed around. All this time, people treat me like I’m some kind of kid. They think it’s easy for me to get hurt or cry and ponder around, but it’s not about that at all.” He faced Venus and Claire. “I don’t believe killing is the answer, but it is another story to defeat you completely!”
