Episode 128 – Breaking Into the Headquarters, a Retaliated Combination!
Matt headed to the basement floor to check up on the laundry and the clothing was finally done. He found Yessenia stacking her clothes together and then she turned around with slight surprise. “Oh? You are done?”
Matt nodded. “Yep! You wanted to explore the city more?”
“Of course, but we should change our clothes first.” She headed for the changing room and Matt into his own designated gender changing room. Once they finished, they re-met in the lounge area.
Matt stretched his arms and gave a huge sigh of relief. “Ah! I feel much cleaner now. Where should we head to first?”
“Well, Jaime should have been back by now but he is still gone. Does that make you wonder anything?”
“That was a bit off-topic…”
“I am being realistic here. Where is he?”
“I don’t know. Aren’t you just being paranoid? Maybe he got side-tracked with other things?”
Yessenia rolled her eyes. “You do not believe me? I will find him on my own. In fact, I will head to the headquarters of Enheizer myself.”
“What?! Why would you do such a thing? Are you trying to turn yourself in to the soldiers or something?” Matt said in a panic. To him, Yessenia seemed a bit strange when it came to the CORP soldiers.
Yessenia opened the front door exiting the hotel, “I will be going.” She said. “Follow if you feel so.” Matt had no other choice. He did not want to adventure the city on his own, furthermore looking for a way to return to Earth.
The headquarters was not difficult to find. After all, even from outside the city, anybody could tell that such an important company just had to be the tallest building of them all in Enheizer. This area was much secured, however. Not just any civilian could step foot onto the fields of the corporation. Yessenia stood beside a bush nearby the front gate of the large field. There was a fountain right in the center and a bunch of decorative bushes were placed at the edges of the garden. There were three stone-historical soldiers on each side of the field. Most of them had a sword raised into the air to show heroism. The field was quiet.
“Great, how do we get in-...”
“SH!!” Yessenia whispered. Her warning was loud enough for two CORP soldiers to hear. They came closer to Matt and Yessenia. Yessenia sighed and then she decided to make an attack against the soldiers. Because of the unexpected actions that Yessenia made, Matt tried to attack with his butterfly sword but he tripped. Yessenia took them both down and she yelled at Matt, “Hurry up! More soldiers should be alerted by now already. Get into the building as fast as you can!”
She climbed against the gate and then she easily jumped over. Matt was in awe. “How did she do that?!” He slowly climbed against the gate, watching Yessenia run further away from him. “Blah… I can’t catch up…” A gunshot was heard and appeared against the gate. Matt yelped, “GEEH! Scary!!”
Yessenia reached the fountain. The whole field from one end to the other was about a quarter of a mile! Therefore, she had already gone through an eighth of a mile. Two gunshots appeared from the left end. With fast reflexes, she turned to the left and then the gunshots only struck her long sword. “Tch!” She said angrily. She jumped over the fountain and more gunshots missed and exploded parts of it. This caused the fountain to break and water splashed at different directions now.
“Get that woman!!” One CORP soldier said to the other. “Forget the boy. He’s nothing!”
More gunshots headed towards Matt but he fell from the top of the gate. The gunshots missed. Matt covered his head. “Nooo! I’m not ready to die!” He could see Yessenia from far away. A soldier decided to shoot Matt in another attempt but once Matt stood up and took another step, he tripped on his shoelace and the gunshot missed once again.
“Screw this! Aim for the woman!!” More soldiers decided to agree on targeting Yessenia.
Yessenia finally reached the entrance to the headquarters. She slashed the two soldiers at the front and then ran on in. “Damn it!” One soldier yelled. They all decided to attack Matt now that they missed their chance to stop Yessenia. Well… Matt disappeared from their attention. He was completely gone from the field.
Matt stood behind a stone soldier with the sword raised into the air. Matt had to copy the complete body motion that this stone soldier was made to do. He was shaking in fear and he sweated excessively. “That was close… now what?”
Once entering the building, there were two narrow hallways that would seem to circle the whole first floor. Yessenia did not want to bother stopping to think which side was better, and so she aimlessly decided to go to the east route. There were more CORP soldiers walking back and forth through the hall and Yessenia took notice of the cameras and their angles all over the room. The headquarters had a clever system by the fact that each camera was made to spot every single area around the room. She saw the closest camera which was luckily the one which took sight of the east hall. She threw her long sword straight at it and bull’s-eye! The screen cracked but the clash made the soldiers down the hall more alert.
One soldier turned around and he spotted Yessenia. Yessenia grabbed her long sword and the soldier pulled the trigger once. Yessenia blocked with her sword and then she headed closer to him. The soldier tried to shoot plenty of times but the girl was able to avoid all of them with the help of her long sword and her accuracy. She was close enough to strike the soldier, and so she did so. There were two more down the hall but more cameras were along the way. She was stuck this time.
Yessenia closed her eyes. “This is becoming shameful of me.” Exactly what she meant was that she decided to take off her shoe and smack the camera with it. She headed towards the next soldier. This CORP soldier was distracted with the shoe and the camera which gave Yessenia the advantage. Again, she did the same tactics with the third and last soldier, along with using her other shoe to strike the camera up ahead. Once in the clearing, she took a break to catch her breath. “This won’t last me a long time. The camera viewers should know by now. I’ll just have to head into one room.” She decided to look for a restroom since cameras are commonly prohibited within restrooms due to privacy. She saw a women’s restroom and noticed that the woman figure with the triangle dress on the door had one leg. “Sometimes I just have to question this picture.” She shrugged it off and then headed in.
Matt examined all over the garden and he noticed that some guards had calmed down. This did not mean that he was free to roam, however. He waited until none of them watched. There were about five guards on each end. “What should I do now?” He asked himself. From there, one guard yelled in pain.
“Ow! OW! What the hell is that?!” One yelled. The other nine guards were astonished.
Matt opened his eyes wide. “What’s going on?”
“Stop whipping me! Stop it!” The second soldier was whipped, and then the third. All five soldiers from the left had been in pain. Each of them dropped their guns.
A girl screamed, “Hurry up!"
A book was thrown out of the bushes and then out came Alex. He yelped, “AUGH! Why did you push me out?!”
Venus jumped out of the bushes and then she continued to whip the guards. The guards cried and ran away in fear. Matt watched them run away. “What the hell… What kind of guards do you call those??”
One guard aimed at Venus and another guard next to him pushed the gun away, “Don’t try to shoot a girl, what’s wrong with you?!” While she pushed the first guard, the first guard accidentally pulled the trigger and he shot at the stone soldier which was in front of Matt. The stone exploded. The second soldier yelled, “GAAH! What did you just do to an expensive piece?!”
The first soldier began to panic. “Oh no! If the lieutenant finds out it was us, we’re going to pay for that!” He uncontrollably ran away and the second soldier tried to chase him off. The three other soldiers stared at the two leaving from the bushes.
Venus pointed at Matt, “Look, there’s somebody there!”
Alex jumped. “It’s…!”
Matt squinted his eyes. “Eh… erh… What is this…”
The group of three students was interrupted by a third soldier. He appeared from the bushes with a shotgun. “Freeze! It is our duty as CORP soldiers to stop you civilians at all costs!”
The fourth pointed at Matt, “What the hell kind of clothes are those anyway?”
“EARTH CLOTHES!” Matt yelled.
The fifth appeared from the bushes, “Stop being off-topic and let’s get them!”
Alex ran behind Matt and Venus. “I’m not ready to die!!”
The fourth soldier decided it was better to pin them down, so he ran towards the students. The fifth soldier aimed for Matt’s legs. The third soldier slowly walked forward. Matt noticed that he was being aimed at, and so he quickly placed his butterfly sword in front of his legs. Venus waited until the fourth soldier got close enough. It seemed as though the fourth man forgot that Venus had a long-ranged whip. She decided to whip him and he covered his head. Alex ran up ahead without thinking and he whacked the soldier’s head over and over. He fainted and Venus went on to whip the fifth soldier when he was off-guard. Matt was saved, and so he headed for the third soldier.
Venus pointed at Matt, “You go, mister!”
The third soldier acted frightened. When Matt aimed really close to the soldier, he suddenly changed tactics with a demonic expression. “You thought I was vulnerable, eh?” He attacked Matt on the chest with the handle of a shotgun. Matt’s mind blanked out for a few seconds, falling on his back.
Venus gasped. “What?!”
Alex threw a book at the soldier’s face. “Die, bastard, die!” Venus helped him by whipping the man until he fainted.
Matt was on the floor, placing his hand on his stomach. Matt coughed and he said, “I’ll… be fine. This is nothing compared to last year.”
Venus tilted her head in confusion. “Last year?”
“Never mind.” Matt said. He stood up, patted his pants, and said to them, “So, your name?”
“Venus… stupid.”
Matt shook his head. “Oh shoot! You ARE Venus!!” He turned to Alex. “A-And… Alex?”
Alex rolled his eyes and then he picked up his book, and walked away without another word. Venus frowned. “Aw, don’t be so rude.”
“I have nothing else to say.” Alex said angrily.
Venus said to him from afar, “Are you mad at Matt?” Alex stopped for two seconds, then he continued walking. “But you saved him just now!”
“Be quiet! I did it out of kindness. Next time I won’t be so nice.”
Venus teased, “Why are you being rude all the sudden, boy?”
Matt took a step forward. “That doesn’t matter. Yessenia is inside the headquarters right now and we need to save her- wa-hey!” Alex ran ahead and Matt tried to stop him but he was already close to the door.
Venus shrugged. “Hrm, oh well. I guess you’re stuck with me.”
“Ugh… well only until we find them anyway. After this, I’ll never have to be stuck with you ever again.”
“And what’s wrong with me?”
Matt pointed at his index finger to represent ‘1’, “Well first, you barely do much in school so I’m scared you’ll do almost nothing, and two,” He pointed at his middle finger next, “You whip people like there’s no tomorrow!”
Venus whipped Matt in rage, “Oh you be quiet! I don’t whip people that much!” Matt cried in pain.
They became serious. Matt took a few steps towards the headquarters, “Well, we made it through the yard. The next thing to do is think of a plan on how to get in without being seen.”
Venus ran up ahead, deciding that barging in was the better idea. “See ya!”
“What the hell?! What’s wrong with you two?” Matt was forced to follow along anyway.
By the time Matt reached the entrance, Venus was already gone. However, he could hear a bunch of men screaming in pain from the left hall. Matt followed the hall to see that she has been attacking one soldier after another but there were cameras. After Venus finished defeating all of them, Matt grabbed her arm. “Stop it! There are cameras everywhere!”
“Well that doesn’t matter now. You should go take the right hall. I’ll be alright!”
Matt turned away. “Are you sure…?”
“Yeah, don’t worry about me! I’m a long ranger, so they won’t even get a chance to touch me!”
Matt decided to head back into the right hall. He said to himself, “Why is it that she always has it the easiest in these kind of situations? Geez…”
