Bok, bok, bok... eh- I mean, I'm not a chicken! I'm a bird! Anyway, on the last episode, Matt and Yessenia wonder where Jaime has gone off to. They sneak into the gardens in front of the headquarters but at a failed attempt to sneak in, Yessenia decides to barge on in. She seems a bit knowledgeable about sneaking into places, doesn't she? The soldiers wonder why Matt is wearing odd clothings, but of course, he is from Earth and they are from Elsiya. Surprisingly, Alex and Venus barge into the gardens as well and they meet Matt along the way! They have finally met after so long! Venus decides to storm off just like Yessenia and somehow, she manages to stay alive, leaving Matt and Alex in the back. Well... let's hope they both make it safely as well.Episode 129 – The Party is One, Reach the Twelfth Floor
One wall on the second floor exploded. The headquarters was quickly becoming in ruins. Every civilian from down below and all over the whole city watched, screaming in surprise. Two helicopters were hired to fly over the headquarters and Yessenia realized that there were many hostilities all over the place. She had no other choice but to attack more soldiers. Each floor consisted of about two to three soldiers, so this was not too difficult for her. Yessenia slashed one after another. Even with three soldiers, one had the chance to shoot her on the left leg. She fell over after defeating two of the soldiers.
“Ergh…” She groaned. The pain was too much for her. She could not move on, so it seemed.
Matt took a look around the hall. “How did Yessenia and Alex go through this? There should be some soldiers somewhere around here…” He saw three soldiers lying on the floor. “Alex couldn’t have done this with just a book…” He then saw a restroom to his left. “Ah, the good old restroom trick! Hope they have a vent in there.”
Matt watched two soldiers drinking together. They laughed until Matt suddenly barged in. “Uh…” Matt said speechlessly.
One soldier took out his shotgun, “Crap! We’ve been found!”
Matt ran towards them and slashed each one of them before they had a chance to pull the trigger. “Out of my way!” He saw a vent above one of the closed stalls. “Found it! Haha!” He tried to open the locked stall but it was not budging. He broke the door open with his butterfly sword and what he saw was a soldier going to the restroom. ‘#2’ as some people consider it. Matt stared in surprise. “Um…”
The other soldier stared back with a straight face. “Um…”
“Don’t copy me!” Matt yelled. He slashed the soldier and laughed. “Finally, some soldiers I can actually beat!” He was about to stand on the toilet to reach for the vent until he looked what was inside the toilet. “Oh geez, flush next time.”
The soldier was crying on the floor. “B-But… I wasn’t finished…” His tears flown all over the floor in sadness.
Matt began to crawl into the vent. “Alright. All I have to do now is find my friends. I’m pretty much safe in here.” He took a sharp turn at the end and Venus was in the vents as well. Her behind was facing Matt. Matt said in astonishment, “Geh- HEY! What are you doing here?!”
Venus turned around, barely actually. The vent was not so large. “Oh Matt! I found you!”
“Don’t change the subject! Oh whatever. We have to find the right room to where Yessenia is. We also have to look for Alex too. I want to know why he suddenly got so mad.”
Venus giggled and then she shook her behind with a squeal, “Aww you care about your friends. That’s so nice of you. You’re way different than him because you actually show how you really feel about the people you’re around. Actually, I don’t know if anybody else acts like-…”
“WHO CARES!! I’m trying to get through here so stop shaking your butt and keep going!”
“Sheesh.” She whined while moving forward. “You’re not the nice kind of guy I thought you were.”
“Just hurry up.” Matt rolled his eyes.
“My boobs hurt.”
“STOP THAT!” Matt said with utter anger.
Alex was crawled into a corner in the storage room. There were many boxes all over the place. One soldier heard him shaking and his teeth were clattering. “Who are you?!” The soldier said out loud.
Alex quickly stood up in fear and then he began to whack the soldier with the Grimoire book several times. “Eyahh, get away I say! You’re an enemy to me!”
“Ow, ow! Stop that you little runt! Gerrr!!” He grabbed Alex by the right arm and then he kicked Alex on the chest. Alex fell back against the boxes. “That’s what you get for playing around with me. I got no time for weakling idiots like you who claim that they can do whatever they want in the headquarters! Infiltrating an important company such as the CORP soldiers especially in Enheizer would be the biggest mistake anybody will ever make!” He pointed his shotgun at Alex’s face.
Alex closed his eyes. “N-No way, this can’t be happening!” He began to shiver.
The ceiling began to crack open and out came Yessenia who jumped from the top. The ceiling fell on the soldier. Yessenia had one leg faced on the ground with her knee. She was breathing heavily due to exhaustion. “How many more are there?!”
Alex smiled in happiness. “Yessenia!!”
Two soldiers came down from the second floor from the broken ceiling. One said to Yessenia, “Enough of your games!” The soldier was about to shoot her but Yessenia jumped up to avoid it. The second soldier tried to shoot her while she was falling back onto the ground. The gunshot missed and hit the vents up above. The vent entrance opened and out came Matt and Venus, falling from the ceiling area. They screamed together from the fall.
Venus fell on top of Matt. She felt her forehead. “Ouch… that hurt!”
Matt tried to shake her off of his back. “You’re hurt?!” Venus quickly got off his back and they both stood up.
Alex gasped. “What the?!” He said.
Yessenia pointed at the soldiers with her long sword. “Tell me! Where is Jaime?”
“Jaime? Oh, you mean the man who is currently at the upper floor? How many floors are there again? Oh right, over twelve floors! You’re not going to make it in time!”
Yessenia opened her eyes wide. She said in a serious tone. “In time for what?”
Venus took two steps back, shaking. “It’s… him…!”
Alex turned to Venus, “’Him’ who?”
Yessenia went on, “I knew that bastard was plotting something all along. I should have never kept my guard down.”
Matt took out his butterfly sword. “Yessenia, we’ll fight with you!”
Yessenia was about to move but blood squirted out from her left leg. She collapsed and she grabbed onto her leg, feeling hopeless. Venus jumped in surprise. She shook her head in dissatisfaction. “No way!”
Alex stood up behind Venus and Matt. “I’ll help too! It looks like Yessenia is in too much of a pain.”
The soldier pointed his shotgun at Matt and the other soldier did the same to Venus. Venus suddenly changed her tone. “Oh!~ You’re going to hurt a beautiful girl like me?” She stuck her behind outward and then she jumped twice so that her fronts were bouncing.
Matt’s serious attitude suddenly failed. He and Alex both face-palmed themselves because of what Venus just did. “Are you serious?” Matt said.
Alex shook his head in dismay. “That is the worst idea ever…”
The soldier, who was aiming at her, paused for a second. “Geh- Er…”
“Don’t let your guard down!” The other said.
“B-But! She’s offering something here!”
Matt indirectly said to Alex, “They’re buying it…”
Alex responded as well, “This is the worst.”
The second soldier slapped the first on the head. “Keep it together, man! We’re supposed to do our job and stop any enemies from getting to the top. They must not intrude with the plans!”
Venus continued trying to act appealing to them by moving around. Matt and Alex yelled together, “YOU CAN STOP NOW!!”
Yessenia tried to speak. “W-What plans…?”
Matt saw the second soldier’s finger move on the trigger. Matt quickly moved away and then he tried to get closer to the soldier by running off to the side. Alex ducked from the gunshot and Venus decided to stop. Venus took her whip which startled the soldier who was aiming his shotgun at her. Venus said while running, “Didn’t think I had something to fight with, did you?!” She speedily whipped the soldier around while Matt slashed his own soldier. Both fell to the ground, yelling in pain.
“Nice!” Venus giggled. She tied the two soldiers with her whip. “Now they can’t do anything.”
The second soldier looked away. “We’re not done with you yet!”
The first soldier, still infatuated with Venus, said with hearts filled in his eyes, “Anything works for you, my lady.”
“WHAT THE HELL!” The second soldier blasted in anger.
Venus rolled her eyes. “Thanks, but I don’t think we should let you guys be heard.” She placed a portion of the whip into each of the soldier’s mouth. “There, now you can’t talk.”
Alex whispered to himself, “This loud ruckus with the ceiling already made things become heard. No need for the rope tie over their mouths.”
“Oh! Ho ho! The rope over their mouths makes everything cooler! Now what’s next?”
Yessenia stood up as if nothing happened. “Next, we should head up the elevator. It is probably the safest way to the top. Might even be the quickest.”
“EH?!?!” Matt and Alex said at the same time.
“How are you still standing even after bleeding like crazy?” Matt asked. “Did it heal that fast?!”
“Did what heal?” Yessenia asked in return. Matt saw the blood still pouting from his leg. “What the heck?! Why are you standing up like it’s nothing?!?!?!”
“Oh this wound. It is alright. Let us hurry to the elevator!”
Yessenia ran outside of the room and she looked for an elevator leading to the 12th floor. Venus followed, skipping through her way down the hall. Matt was about to leave next but Alex said in commandment, “Matt!”
Matt paused and then he turned around. “Huh? What is it, Alex?”
Alex was silent for a moment. “… Never mind.” He walked past Matt without another word.
Matt scratched his head in confusion. “What just happened there?” He asked himself.
The eleventh floor was basically the second most important, as obvious as it sounds. The Lieutenant was within the building which was strange as he was last seen back in the concentration camp, possibly at the Junkyard as well. He said to his guards, “They’ve reached Enheizer. They are quite some interesting people: eager to run away, then moments later, they are the ones chasing after us.”
“Sir! From what we heard through the cameras, that woman with the long sword is looking for Jaime!”
“Ah, Jaime, Vice-Captain of the CORP soldiers here in the headquarters. Their relation with each other would make sense. I’ve been watching lots of what happened in the past.”
“The past?” One guard wondered.
“No worries. Take me to the lobby on this floor! Once they take the elevator, they’ll have to get through me first before reaching Jaime on the twelfth and last floor.” Two guards saluted and then they began walking him.
The group of four students ran towards the elevator. With haste, Matt accidentally crashed into the elevator while it was not open yet. Venus sighed. “Oh goodness.” Alex stopped earlier and Yessenia pressed the button that showed ‘11’.
“Strange. There is no option for the twelfth floor.” Yessenia became curious about why there would be a missing number yet the floor exists. Of course, it is the most important floor. It would make sense to hide it with the only method of getting through the 11th floor first.
The elevator opened and the group of four ran in with eagerness. They all waited as the door closed. There was an awkward silence, followed by elevator music. The automated machine said to them, “Please enjoy the melody while you wait for your next destination.” The music was quite feminine and the group of four was not in the mood to listen.
Actually… Venus began tapping her right foot and Alex was murmuring the beat. After about ten seconds, Matt burst from the annoyance. “SHUT UP ALREADY!”
The elevator opened and the group of four was surprised to see the Lieutenant right out in the open. The Lieutenant greeted them. “Why hello! It is nice to meet you all, in one group I see. It is a pleasant surprise to see that you’re all working together. Now, I know I let you go the first time but this time, I will have to see how much stronger you’ve all gotten since the last time you escaped the concentration camps.”
“Not interested.” Yessenia walked to the side of the room, noticing that there is an elevator leading to the 12th floor.
Lieutenant Braus felt insulted. “Wha- Hey! I’m talking to you! Get back here!” He pulled the trigger with his musketoon at the wall between Yessenia and the elevator. “Don’t just ignore me!”
Matt frowned. “Damn it, you again.”
Venus placed her hand on her chin. “Let’s see… where have I seen you again?”
Alex said to her, “I think we saw him at the um… where was it?”
Lieutenant Braus felt even more insulted. “What?! That’s it. You’re all done for!”
Yessenia took out her long sword. “Alright then. I guess we have no choice but to fight you. Once you are pinned down, we are heading to the twelfth floor for Jaime!!”
Lieutenant Braus laughed. “Haha! Fine by me. As a lieutenant, I already know the results. You won’t get through me that easily!”
