Nix: Last time on episode 138, Matt and Venus reach the top of the waterfall before the imperial city of Melvin. Matt decides to fall asleep next to a tall tree. Erm… is he really my master? He’s so emotional.
Matt: What did you say?!
Nix: Waah! Um, um! So Shirley showed Yessenia and Alex her home where she had to live with, with Huy. It is called the Ogre Telsi. The Telsi is a secret potion that can cure anything, even mentality and the future’s predictions. That sounds pretty sweet! Meanwhile, Alice appears with Lieutenant Braus- I mean Michael, at Arkon’s Magic. Michael continues to talk about how he does not want Alice to be involved in these powers and then he storms off. This could get dangerous. Let’s see what happens next!
Episode 139 – Panda Transformation Powers, Battle-Panda!
Yessenia, Alex, Shirley, and Huy were all headed towards the northwest area of the Ogre Forest. One group of ogres after another, the students had to fight all of them. Yessenia had her long sword in her hand while Alex had his Grimoire book and Shirley had her pole stick. Huy was confident enough to not use any weapons. After a few tiring battles, the group began putting their weapons away. Shirley pointed at Alex's book, "Why do you fight with that useless thing?"
"It's better than a q-tip!" Alex responded.
"What did you say?!"
Huy glanced over at Alex's book and then something came up in his mind. However, the thought stopped once Alex decided to make his book vanish.
Once all of the students stepped out of the forest, they were atop a hill. Shirley gave a stretch. "Ah! We finally made it out! We're in Lancer now, right?!" She said happily to Yessenia.
Yessenia shook her head. "Actually..." She pointed at a large area. "We still have the waterscape."
Shirley cried. "WHAT?!?! And to think we were done! I would have thanked you guys for freeing us from the ogres for days but never mind!"
Yessenia turned around. "Interesting though."
"What?"
"The ogres. This world is different compared to the others in the fact that these monsters were not summoned by some dark crystal. These are digicells that were born and living in the forest. This world seems to have monsters roaming around as if people have to get used to it. She pointed at the title of the map, "That is the Elsiyan culture, apparently."
"What about the other worlds?" Huy asked. "Didn't they have monsters from wherever you guys have gone to?"
"Echoville had half-elves-half-humans if that is what you are talking about. However, monsters do not just appear out of nowhere. Humans did not appear out of nowhere once the dinosaur age was eradicated, right? Same with these monsters." Yessenia said.
Shirley cried again. "Don't remind me about Echoville..." She was reminded of the context where her friends were meant to betray her and leave her in the world of Echoville as an ice princess.
"What happened in Echoville?" Alex wondered.
"I SAID DON'T REMIND ME!" Shirley pushed Alex on the face.
A dark shadow appeared within the city of Melvin. There was campsite for the CORP soldiers on the highest hill of the city. Jaime appeared from the shadows with an evil grin. "So William has given a call telling me that Omar is on his way, hm?" He glared at the road in front of him. "And those two brats are following him from behind too. Tch."
Omar took a step in front of a restaurant. "Imp Panda? What kind of a name is that?" Omar questioned. Jaime was standing from afar, being able to see Omar from across the road. Omar pushed the entrance blinds aside. It turned out to be a local Japanese restaurant! "Peter! I've found you!"
Peter was standing behind the tables like a bartender. "Oh huh? Omar?! Wait, how did you know I was here?"
Omar stopped. "I... just had a feeling. Anyway, I want you to join me. We are going to find everyone else!"
"Everyone else?"
"You don't know? Lots of the sophomores have teleported into this world and they could be in danger." Omar's voice rose. This caused part of the restaurant customers to stop and listen. Suddenly, Omar turned around with a gasp. "What?!" A dark zap ran across the floor from the blinds. It tried to zap Omar but Omar jumped backwards behind the table counter. He was standing next to Peter now.
Peter took a step back. "W-What in the world are you doing?"
Jaime appeared from the blinds. The table in front of Omar was split in half. From this sight, the customers began to run off in fear. Peter tried to reach for his customers. "H-Hey! The owner's going to get mad. Come back, everybody!"
A shadowed zap from Jaime's finger flew towards Omar. "Shadow Strike!"
Omar suddenly grabbed Peter's head from the top and then pushed him down to the ground. The both of them crouched down. "What the hell? What is Jaime doing?!"
Jaime took out a crystal from his pocket. "Omar, you are one of the smartest students of Class of 2011, is that right? One of the smartest among the current sophomores!"
"Me? How did you find me?" Omar took out two swords at once from thin air.
"What the?!" Peter yelped. "Jaime? Those shadowy stuff, how...?"
Jaime took out a circular-shaped shadow, "Shadow Ball.~" He threw it at Omar but he moved out of the way while trying to grab Peter.
Omar said to Peter, "Geez, it's so hard to drag you!"
"What are you trying to say?!" Peter exclaimed.
Omar stood up this time. "Damn it." I've seen this guy around last year but I didn't know he could be so deadly." He then said out loud, "Hey, what are you trying to do? If I didn't move, you could have killed me!"
"Ah, the shadow ball does not kill. It inflicts damage. Look at where it hit."
Omar turned around and he saw a few bottles shattered onto the ground while some tin cans were bended. A music player fell to the ground, playing random songs. "It is as if someone punched all of them." Omar whispered to Peter, "That's still offensive. Whatever you do, try your best to avoid him. I can't drag you wherever I run."
"Whatever. I can run for myself." Peter said.
Jaime created another shadow ball with his right hand. On his left hand, he jabbed something into the shadow ball. Omar gasped. "What is he plotting?!"
Jaime threw the shadow ball and it flew towards Omar and Peter. Omar, who was in front, jumped away and Peter could not think fast enough. At this point, Peter was blasted against the wall and he yelled in pain. "ERGH!! AH!!!" He fell to the ground and his body was covered in smoke.
"Oh, I missed." Jaime said bluntly.
Omar was sweating. He could see Peter burning up. "What did he do to you?"
Peter opened his eyes. His eyes became red. "No... what is this feeling?"
Jaime remembered what he put in his shadow ball. "Darn it. Don't tell me you inherited the elemental crystal! That was for Omar! The animal transformation spell! What is it going to be?"
Peter began shining to an extent where both Omar and Jaime had to cover their eyes. Omar was pushed back by the strong flash. The force slowly dispersed and Peter was gone. Instead, a strange breed appeared from the mist of light. Omar opened his eyes and he was surprised at what he was looking. "I-Is that a...?!"
The strange breed had white and black fur. It was a bit chubby and it held a bamboo. Jaime rolled his eyes. "What the hell?"
Omar was mesmerized. His eyes turned into shapes of golden stars as he yelled in happiness, "OOHOO! That's awesome!!" He pointed at the animal, "A Battle-Panda!" A random music player began playing action music nearby. The panda was holding a bamboo stick as a weapon. "And it's going to fight back! Haha!"
The panda spoke, "Ha!" It suddenly began chewing on the bamboo. "Yum, yuuuum!" The music player suddenly broke.
Omar sighed as he placed his palm on his face. "Go figure..." He became serious. "Anyway, is that you, Peter?!"
Peter, as the panda, nodded. "Of course it's me. I feel a bit heavier all the sudden but that attack didn't get to me at all! Let's go Omar, we need to get out of here!"
Omar whispered to himself, "I don't think he knows that he's a panda..."
Jaime made shadow ninjas appear. "Oh, you two are not getting away! I'm going to take you both into the Parallel of Time where the Grand Cradle exists!"
"Parallel of Time?" Omar asked.
"Grand Cradle?" Peter followed.
"Oh, it is where all of the elemental crystals are created! The Grand Cradle is a long trial to test how strong you are with your magic power! Hah! That is why, Omar, you must gain powers. Instead, Peter has them."
"I do?" Peter said stupidly. Omar coughed, pointing at Peter. Peter looked downward to see his black and white fur body. "EH?!!! I'M A PANDA?!" He pointed at Jaime with his bamboo. "What did you do?! I want answers!" He began feeling a bit nauseous.
"Why now?!" Omar clenched his fists.
Jaime closed his eyes in shame. "I knew giving powers to you wasn't a good idea. Only Omar could have handled it."
Peter ran into the restroom. Omar sat down in shame as well. "What now?" Omar said in exhaust.
Jaime began explaining. "This happens to people who are not strong enough to handle such powers. Their powers become uncontrollable enough to overpower the user. This is why I wanted you to gain such powers."
"Why didn't you tell me before? I would have gladly taken the panda transformation. That's awesome!"
"THAT'S NOT THE POINT!" Jaime yelled. "You are all experiments to Tony's trial. He is giving plentiful of elemental crystals and we are to distribute it to many of the students of El Monte. The problem is that Tony accidentally scattered all of the students that he has taken from most of our Biology class."
Omar tried to remember his Biology class. "And who are these students?"
"If I remember correctly..." Jaime said as he began putting together the mental images of groups of students. "There are 31 from El Monte, most of which came from Biology class. First off, the Columbia students: Kalpesh, Stan, Huy, Matt and Jen are all bounded to this world. Kranz: Venus, Winny, Lupe, and Amy (C). Madrid: you, Shirley (C), Joey, Alex, Sharon, Danny, and Bunhong. Rio Hondo: Yesssenia and Jon. There is a girl named Julie whom I cannot decipher about her past, same with Joseph. And lastly, Potrero: Tony, William, Van, Jenny, Jennifer, Shirley (M), and myself. There are four who came here alternatively: Alice, Peter, Maggie, and Michael. This is the story. We must gather everyone and inject them with the strongest powers!"
"What?! What's the purpose of all this?"
"I said it once before. You're all experiments for Tony. He..." Jaime suddenly gasped as he stopped talking. It was as if the two of them were hiding something from their past. "Now turn yourself in! We need you the most out of all them useless students who struggle to even survive with powers."
"I don't know if I can use powers... Moreover, being an experiment to Tony!"
"You WILL turn yourself in!" Jaime created a shadow and then he threw a blast of darkness at Omar. Omar jumped away and then he grabbed a few unbroken bottles of wine. Jaime created another ball of shadow and Omar threw the wine bottle at him. Jaime was distracted for trying to break the bottles before they hit him. After Jaime shattered the wine bottles with his own shadow ninjas, Omar was already gone. The door was left open. Jaime glared at the door with a slight smile. "Hm. Even without powers, you're already good at running away. That makes me think you're even more capable of using powers. This is not the end, Omar. Hehehe. Hahaha!"
Peter, as a panda, could hear him talking from behind the restroom door.
Matt and Venus finally arrived at Melvin, the imperial city. This time, Matt wanted to respect Venus's pace. "Are you sure we should hurry on in this time?"
"Hm... Well, it looks like there are lots of guards here in this city. It doesn't seem safe for us to go."
"Strange, coming from you."
"Hah, very funny." She turned away to think about the city. If there were guards, she knew who she was expecting. Venus took a step forward. "Erm..." She began examining the area around her carefully. "There are soldiers and guards everywhere but no sign of him. Where is he?"
"Who are you talking about?" Matt asked.
"Jaime. Jaime must be here. He's a guard, isn't he?"
Matt thought about it for a while. "I don't think it would matter if he's here or not. Remember the last time we saw him? He was in the headquarters with a completely different look. This was not like him at all last year. Something must have happened."
Venus shook her head as she raised her voice, "Jaime is not a bad person! I won't believe that!"
"Venus, it's only the truth. It's exactly what we saw ourselves, don't you remember?"
"Ergh... I can't... I don't want to think about that...!" She was shaking. She decided to run away from Matt. "He's not evil!!"
Matt tried to reach for her but there was no point. He watched as a bunch of soldiers took sight of her and then they started chasing her. While Venus was crying and running away, she was whipping all of them without even looking. Matt rolled his eyes. "I can't take her seriously when she can beat people up without having to look... Oh well..." Matt decided to look for another path that was much safer than just barging through the crowd of soldiers and guards.
Matt: So Venus decides to run off on me again. What’s new with her?
Venus: Stay away from me. You left me over a year ago and all the sudden you want to get back with me?
Matt: M-Me?!
Venus: No you ugly! I’m talking about-
Omar: Don’t spoil the love, Venus~
Matt: Where did you come from?!
Venus: I’m not easy to please!
???: Is that so?
Venus: …Maybe.
Matt: Wah… ‘Maybe’, she says. Next time on episode 140, Johnny, an Old Companion from Kranz!
