Hey, it’s Nix the fire bird! So, on the last episode, Yessenia gets into a serious conversation with Huy. She explains that her sister was a part of the class of 2009 battle and lost. This caused Yessenia to mature early in the story. She worries about the fact that class of 2011 may have to battle each other eventually, but Huy hopes it will not happen. After the conversation, Yessenia thanks Huy for listening. I wonder what this means?~ Oh! I shouldn’t joke around. She’ll kill me. Other than that, Matt, Venus, and Johnny make haste into the elevator boat. Luckily, Omar comes out of nowhere to give them fancy clothes to prove that they belong in the fancy party. They couldn’t have gotten in without me though!
Episode 142 – Elemental Rage, a Twin-Sword Mastery Battle!
Matt went downstairs in the large elevator boat. This was the same size of a ship! He examined the steps down below. The lights were on, so Matt could see about five floors leading downward with doors on each floor. The doors must lead to extended hallways with other vacancies and people who bought hotel rooms.
There were slight creakings that Matt could hear from the bottom floors. It became louder and before Matt could think fast, the doors slammed open. At least two soldiers from the three of five floors down below could see Matt. One pointed at him. Matt froze and he did not know what to do. Above him were two more floors before the deck. Those doors opened as well. Matt's heart was beating faster. "Crap! I'm surrounded?"
Without thinking, Matt continued to run down the steps. He had no other choice. One soldier from up above tried to shoot him with a shotgun. Matt lost his pace with the steps and he almost tripped. The gunshot very slightly slashed his left arm. He grabbed onto it, groaning in pain. "AGH!" He yelled. He continued to run. "These damn soldiers. I can never get any peace with them around. All I want is to have a word with Jaime! He must know something about the disappearing students in El Monte." He thought about Jen after months of not being around her. "Ergh..."
The same soldier with the shotgun pointed his gun at Matt. Matt could see a second soldier next to the first, sticking his hand out. "Wait. What is this?"
Matt had a light yellow aura around him. Matt clenched his teeth. "Why can't I just be free to do what I want already? Why do these soldiers have TO ALWAYS GET IN MY WAY?!" The yellow aura turned into a mix of yellow and orange.
The two soldiers from up above began to panic. The soldier with the shotgun pulled the trigger with an impulse. The aura made the bullets disintegrate before it could explode. Matt looked up at the soldiers above him. The soldiers from below tried to shoot as well, but the bullets were nothing now. They only melted against the flames of Matt's aura. Matt held out two hands and he angled them like a ball towards the soldiers from up above. "You guys need to leave me the HELL ALONE!" In rage, Matt threw a 'Grand Fireball' towards the soldiers.
The soldiers tried to run but the Grand Fireball was too quick. It exploded against them and they fell to the ground, crisped in dark-brown. The soldiers could barely speak. They seemed to be burnt enough to not move for weeks or even months.
The whole boat began shaking. Venus and Johnny stopped dancing. Venus blinked a few times, wondering what just went on. "What was that?"
Other civilians in fancy clothing were wondering as well. "It was probably just an earthquake..." Johnny said. They continued to dance.
Matt was breathing heavily from the exhaustion. He then turned around to the bottom floors. The soldiers from below began screaming.
Uncontrollably, Matt began to use his jet gliding that he had used a few times last year to reach the soldiers without having to fall with a tough landing. Once he reached the very bottom of all the floors, he looked up at the soldiers who were once below him. The soldiers all fell to the ground. Matt created another fireball. "Grand..." The soldiers screamed again. "FIREBALL!!" The fireball flew to all of the soldiers and like the previous soldiers, they too have fallen into a crisp.
The ship shook even more. Venus stopped completely. "That is it. Something is wrong. I got to alert Matt that we need to get out of here!" She ran off.
"V-Venus, wait!" Johnny began to grin.
Matt was becoming even more exhausted. Not a single soldier was able to stand up anymore. With his continuous rage, Matt glided towards the nearest soldier. Matt grabbed his collar and with Matt's hand in the air, he clenched tightly with a blazing fist. "GRAAAHHH!!"
Suddenly, he was attacked by a sheathed sword from behind by a familiar boy. Matt's aura quickly vanished and his eyes opened wide from surprise. He then fainted.
"I'm sorry." Omar said. He seemed to have appeared from the lowest floor's door and ran as quickly as he could towards Matt from behind. Omar sighed. "What immense power..." He began to put two swords from behind his own back. "Any more and you could have destroyed the whole boat. Welp, it's time to take you somewhere safe before others find out about this."
He walked into the door ahead of him and Jaime was standing there. "Did you miss me?"
"Shit!" Omar was surprised.
Venus pushed people around to look for Matt. "Damn it! There's no sign of Matt anywhere!" She then noticed that a few soldiers were huddling by a door that led to the stairs that Matt was in. She ran over to the soldiers, not thinking about covering her face. The soldiers were after her and Matt, after all.
One soldier stopped her. "Halt. You cannot enter at the moment!"
Venus punched him in the face. "Oh you shut your mouth and let me through!" The rest of the soldiers became alert. There were about six! Venus became serious. "I have no time to play around. I have to look for my friend!" She took out her whip and then created a 'Thunder Snap' which zapped them all. The lights began to flicker from the electricity that she exposed. The civilians from nearby gasped. Venus did not care. Her personality of just rushing into danger was her strength anyway. She barged into the door and there were a bunch of near-death soldiers on the floor, crawling in pain. Venus opened her eyes wide. "W-W-What... is this?"
Venus ran down a few floors. "What is going on? Why are there so many soldiers here in pain?" She looked down below and noticed that there was a door left open. She became curious and then she ran towards it.
Jaime pointed at Omar's swords. "You have two swords behind you. Don't tell me you already have an elemental crystal injected within you?"
"That's not the point. Why do you keep following me?"
"I already told you. You're our most treasured experiment. You are the smartest and most capable of using as many elemental crystals at once. It won't hurt you, come on." He turned to Matt who was lying on the floor unconscious. "Matt obviously cannot handle it."
"Your experiments are bullshit!" Omar responded.
"Is it? Fight me. See how useful those swords can be to you!" Jaime threw a 'Shadowball' towards Omar. Omar jumped away as quickly as he could. The ball flew towards the door and Venus entered.
For a split second, Venus had to use her lightning powers to explode the shadowball. Luckily, she made it in time. "Eek! What the hell?!" She noticed Matt was on the floor as well. "And what happened to Matt?!"
Omar turned around, "V-Venus?!" He began thinking to himself. "She just used... thunder!"
Jaime sighed. "Wow, Omar. I didn't tell you to run away from my attacks. Fight back!"
"Jaime!" Venus said.
Jaime glared at her. "What do you want?"
Venus stomped her foot. "Why are you acting like you don't know me? Come on, we've been hanging out often since last year!"
Jaime was silent. His face was emotionless to her words. Omar stood up. "If you want to fight, then so be it!" He took out two swords from his sheath. He held them with one on each hand.
Jaime smiled. "I knew it! Your elemental crystal is the power to master two swords at once!"
Venus turned to Omar. "Whoa... so he has powers too." Venus gripped her whip. "Jaime!" She began thinking in her mind, "It's better to weaken him now before he runs away again. I'll have to fight alongside with Omar! Of course, Matt can't help so I guess it's just the two of us. Damn it."
Jaime shook his head. "You both think too lightly of me."
Omar stood in front of Venus. "I don't know how you ended up down here with all of the other soldiers guarding this place but you shouldn't be in this kind of danger."
Venus grabbed his right shoulder from behind. "No, you can move out of the way if you don't let me fight. I'm fighting and I don't care what happens. Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I should have unfair rights. Let's fight him together!"
Omar sighed and then he smiled. "Whatever suits you!"
Jaime created a shadowball. He threw it at Venus and Omar without effort. The two students jumped away and Venus stretched her whip. She ran from the side and Omar jumped. Omar created a move named 'Twin Slash'. While in the air, he created a V-shaped slash that was attempted to attack Jaime. Jaime created a 'Shadow Duplication' of himself to fight without pain. "Only my shadow feels pain, not me."
"Tch!" Omar jumped away from Jaime.
Venus whipped Jaime from the side. "Thunder Snap!" Jaime's shadow duplication arm extended and blocked her whip. "What?!"
"I can manipulate my shadows to be whatever the heck it wants. Amazing right?" The shadow's hand became a large fist and it grabbed her whip. Venus held tightly onto her whip, hoping not to let go. The shadow threw the whip, along with Venus, onto the other side of the room. Venus was thrown onto a few wooden crates.
"AUGH!!" She screamed in pain.
Omar readied his swords in an X shape. "That's it!" He created another move called 'X Slash' which of course, meant he had to shape his swords like an X and slash outward against Jaime. Jaime's shadow continued to take its stance. "Just kidding!" Omar slid to the left as fast as he could and then he attacked upward with both swords towards Jaime. Jaime quickly jumped away.
"Oh! Tricky, you are! You're a smart fighter, I see. Look out behind you."
Omar forgot about the shadow that he slid away from and the shadow punched him with the large fist against Omar's back. Omar fell onto his knees. "Agh!" He yelped.
"That's a shame, Omar. I thought you were stronger than that. Oh well. At least you have potential." He walked towards Omar. "Now, all I have to do is take you to Tony. We'll experiment you. Don't worry. It shouldn't hurt too much. Think of these powers as a gift." He stepped on Omar's back. "Too weak. Just- too- weak." With each syllable, Jaime stomped on Omar's back. After weakening Omar from moving, Jaime decided to carry Omar and leave the elevator boat.
"Jaime!" Venus interrupted him from walking. Her clothes were torn after being thrown into the crates. She could still be able to talk and she only had a few scratches on her. Just a few sprains stopped her from moving as fast as she could before. "You're not the guy I thought you were." Jaime looked at her without a word. "So you know what? SCREW YOU!"
Jaime was still emotionless from her speech. He turned away and he continued to walk while holding onto Omar. He closed the door shut after leaving. Venus fell to the floor, fainting.
Outside, the soldiers ran down onto the bottom floor and they spoke with Jaime. One soldier asked, "Lieutenant Jaime! I see you have brought a strange fellow with you. Everything alright down here?"
Jaime thought about it for a moment. He smiled. "Everything is fine. You don't need to check down here."
"Good work, Lieutenant! We will continue our search on the rest of the floors." The soldier saluted.
"Alright. After that, we are moving on to the eastern area towards the Boral Marshes. Make haste. Send some troops to investigate on the crashing Floyde ship down at the Nerim Lake as well."
"Will do, sir!" The soldier saluted again as he ran off.
Venus slowly opened her eyes after about twenty minutes. "Mm..." She shook a little. She sat up and then squinted. "Eck... The sprain still hurts." She noticed that Matt was still there on the floor nearby. "Oh!" She ran up to him and then she shook him. His clothes were torn from the first gunshot as well. The flaming aura onto crisped his clothing a little bit. "Matt, hey, wake up! Come oooon."
Matt coughed and then his fingers moved. He opened his eyes and sat up. "Venus? What happened to you?" Venus held onto her left arm and she looked away in shame. She began explaining all that happened. Matt began to put the pieces together. "Omar must have put me out cold."
Nix appeared in front of them. "The soldiers were chasing me and all the sudden I was vanishing into your spirit! You must have used a lot of energy back then."
Matt sighed. "I know... Damn it..."
Venus hugged him. "You shouldn't run off like that again. I was worried."
Matt blushed at the fact that she's actually expressing her care for him as a friend. "Oh... I'm sorry..." They both frowned together, sitting in shame of their loss and mistakes in battle.

Alex: Let’s chase after it! [Squirrel’s eyes turn red]
Alex and ShirleyC: [Running away] SCREW THIS!!
ShirleyC: W-Wait. Those parrots are cute at least right?
Alex: They have to be! Let’s go get some! [Parrots’ eyes turn red]
Alex and ShirleyC: NYEHH. EVEN WORSE!
ShirleyC: I’m starting to think those wolves over there have no chance against evil animals.
Alex: Maybe they’re friendly. [Wolves’ eyes turn red]
Yessenia: I don’t know what to say… Next time on episode 143, Soul Activated, She Who is Taken by Constriction!
ShirleyC: How about a snake?
Huy: NO!
