We now arrive in a world of despair. The parallel universe and timeline is now widely arrayed but cannot be evened into a single existence. Almost all truth has been revealed, but a person was lost in return. As the story goes on, now the students will have to fight against antagonists with many missing pieces in their hearts. The goal to restore order had failed enormously and now it is almost too late to change what has been done. All the extra time has been used and there is no second to waste. Students with powers must face the eternal truth. With only one more chapter left of the freshman year, what will be accomplished and where are the antagonists residing in now…?
Episode 116 - Speak with Courage, the Final Battle Begins
The group of eight, Matt, Santi, Shirley, Danny, Yessenia, Jaime, Winny and Alex had all appeared back at the trial room with the six portals. Each portal calmly vanished away and the long road up ahead appeared in front of them. There were a bunch of digicells, but the eight students could easily fend them off with a little teamwork. Matt threw a bunch of fireballs and Shirley dropped a few ice pieces. Santi used his cutlass and Winny tried to punch some away from her by using the last bit of her serious side of her split personality powers. Yessenia cut a few enemies with her blunt sword and Danny rose the ground level a few times to stagger the enemies. Alex splashed water so that some enemies could go blind while Jaime manipulated a few digicells to attack themselves. With all of their teamwork, nobody was hurt.

At the end, all of the students heard a loud shriek calling from behind a wall. The wall suddenly exploded and out game a giant digicell beast. Everyone readied their powers. Jaime stopped all of them. “Wait, hold on a minute! That beast looks just like the same one from the Forest of Emille’s vision.”
Shirley fell to her knees, “Are we… too late? After all we’ve been through! Rena is already a monster!” The shrill cry coming from the beast was louder.
Matt stared closely into the monster’s eyes, “That’s Rena alright.”
“Damn!” Yessenia grabbed tightly onto her blunt sword. “The trial has already started for Luther. “Here is the plan. We have to weaken her. If-…”
Alex splashed water at it, “Why can’t we just kill it?!”
Winny yelled at him, “Don’t do that! Luther shouldn’t be the last existing Survor in this whole universe. Weaken her so that she does not pass us or anything else.”
The giant beast summoned five smaller tiger-beasted digicells. Yessenia rolled her eyes. “Oh great, these monsters again from the Tower of Despair. I will take care of all of them. My sword can attack a few enemies all at once. Some of you can head over to Rena right away!”
Shirley and Matt raised their hands. They both said at the same time, “We’ll do it!” With them being the opposite ends of the temperature, they could mess with Rena’s heat condition. Alex helped Yessenia blind the enemies with water. Santi and Winny ran towards Rena. Danny raised the ground level of Rena but she was too heavy. Jaime decided it was time for him to use shadow ninjas. Matt glided into the air so that he could throw a fireball at the large beast’s face. Shirley made an Icicle Rain occur since a simple piece of ice won’t hurt Rena.
The beast made a loud scream and Matt fell to the ground from the exploding yells. More digicells were summoned and Yessenia had to keep fighting them off. Alex supported her. Matt threw another fireball at the beast’s arms, “It’s not feeling a thing! We need to trap it somehow!”
Shirley suddenly sparked up an idea. “Trap? Hey Alex!” She called out for him. “Throw some water at the beast’s legs and I’ll handle the rest!”
“How can that do anything?” Alex asked.
“Just do it!”
So, Alex threw a splash of water at the giant monster and Shirley froze the whole bit. The whole left leg of Rena was freezing up. Matt held out his hand for Shirley, “Wow! That was an awesome idea!” They gave each other a high-five. Shirley and Alex did the same technique to the beast’s right leg. After both legs were frozen, Rena fell onto her knees and she made another shrill cry.
Matt covered his ears and yelped out in pain. “Ow! That’s pretty loud!”
Shirley and Alex decided to go for both of the arms. Yessenia cleared all of the monsters and because Rena’s arms were unable to be used, no more digicells would be summoned. Santi and Winny stood behind the group. Jaime made his shadow ninjas disappear. “So did we get her?” Matt asked calmly. Rena’s demonic moans were weakening. It was becoming tame.
Shirley sat down and then she wiped her forehead, “Phew…!”
Right there and then, a large thunderbolt flew from the sky and it zapped Rena. “You useless fiend! I guess I will be the last Survor! Ha ha!” The demonic voice came from Luther!
Shirley quickly got up. Alex tried to find Luther, “Where is he? Where?”
Matt called out for the beast, “R-Rena! Wait!” Rena’s body was dispersing into the air.
Yessenia’s eyes opened wide in surprise. “Another life… gone.”
Shirley became extremely angry. “After how much we’ve been through to help Rena, you just decided that killing her was okay?!”
“Oh, she was just a monster. Survors are complete monsters. They have no right to live if they cannot rule over mere humans. I will give you an example of how a real Survor should be. You’re not too far from here. As I said, once you reach me, you are in a quick annihilation. Don’t even try.”
Matt had the courage to walk up ahead into the final room. There was a portal that led to the room in which Luther was hiding in. Matt turned around and said to the group, “This is it. A lot of our friends sacrificed or died in order to get us all the way here. Our final battle against Luther will be the last time we will have to suffer from all of this pain! Then, we can come back to El Monte in peace.”
Shirley followed Matt, “I agree. I’m tired of seeing people suffer.”
Alex held onto Shirley, “Aw that’s so nice of you.
“Get off me.” Shirley pushed him as Alex chuckled a little.
“Who in the right mind would even try to rule the world? Nobody will like them at all.” Yessenia shook her head in shame. She rose her sword up into the air, “If there is a miracle, then it is for our powers to disappear. That is the least of our worries. Right now, Luther is our target.”
Jaime was watching his hands. He said to himself, “But my powers… were they really used to destroy the whole forest?”
Danny patted Jaime on the shoulder, “Look, we stopped Rena. And you’re here with us. There is no way that can be possible.”
Winny giggled and said to the group, “Even if my powers are corrupted, I can still try to interfere against Luther.”
“The more we have as a group, the merrier.” Santi said. He headed for the portal. “I am ready now.”
Matt made fire appear from his hands. “I’m very glad to have met all of you. With our friendships growing closer with each other, we can become an invisible team! Well, this is it, guys! We’ll show Luther that our teamwork means more than just power.”
Shirley agreed with him, “Yeah! It means the amount of love and care we give for each other.” The group began to laugh together from Matt and Shirley’s cheesy comments. They all went into the portal. Shirley was confused. “But it’s true, right?”

The final room has a strange essence to it. The power of holy was used for circulation in Luther’s seat. Luther finally appeared in front of the seat with the face of a demon. He had a bunch of horns on his head and large, black-feathered wings. “It is I, Luther. Congratulations. You have made it through the trial of emotions. It seems none of you have given up. Although one of you almost died.” He rolled his eyes at Matt.
Matt clenched his fists. “What did you say?” Shirley, Alex, Danny and Jaime were examining the whole room.
“This is no time for your damn jokes, Luther. Your time is up!” Yessenia took out her blunt sword.
Luther laughed and it echoed across the room, “You think talking about beating me is going to solve anything?” He took out his thunder rod, “You’ve seen me plenty of times before. I knocked out many people with just one swift.”
“That doesn’t scare us!” Matt yelled.
Luther took sight of Santi and Winny. “Ah, I see you two have made it here. I thought you would have given up by now, gah hah! Ah… no worries. You all can end your lives here, right now. The fate of the world is in my hands. El Monte and every other would can suffer!” He aimed his thunder rod at the group, “Get ready!”

Matt glided into the air as soon as possible. He needed to use full power since Luther was not any kind of person to joke about. Shirley created an Icicle Rain and Danny caused a Stalagmite to appear from below the ground. Luther was floating, so part of Danny’s ground powers were useless. Luther used his rod to zap Danny. The thunderbolt was almost strong enough to electrocute Danny. One more screw-up and Danny’s energy would be done for! Yessenia ran in front of Danny. “Do not get carried away!”
“I’m sorry…” Danny said.
Jaime summoned a few shadow ninjas to attack Luther from behind. Luther was not expecting it to appear behind him, so a small amount of infliction was caused. Jaime pointed at Luther, “That’s the way!”
Luther crouched into himself like an armadillo. “You all will feel the wrath of Holy!!” Luther opened up and a large amount of thunder appeared to attack everybody about nine times in less than three seconds. Matt knelt down on his knees.
“Argh… that damn bastard!” Matt said. He got up slowly, throwing a few fireballs.
Shirley coughed. She was already exhausted from the pain. Yessenia regained sanity quickly as she ran towards Luther with her blunt sword. She wanted to play the battle a bit tricky with Luther. When Luther aimed his rod at her, Yessenia jumped up and created a gust of wind. She slashed the wind and it flew towards Luther. Luther barely had time to cover his face. While doing so, Santi ran for Luther from behind. Luther laughed, “Haha, that did not hurt at all!”
“LUTHER!!” Santi stabbed Luther from behind with a cutlass.
Suddenly, Luther froze in pain. “Geh… Eh…” He was still moving… Luther took the sword out of his back and then he threw it across the room, “What the hell was that?”
Matt and Shirley took a step back. Alex screamed behind Shirley, “He’s still alive! But how?!”
Luther began to pulsate. The sound was like a heartbeat. The room became more difficult to function in. Luther’s back began growing horns. His face slightly elongated and his eyes turned even redder. His height grew twice the size and his toes grew talons. His chest became highly built. This man was of a monster the whole time. He grew into a lifeless being.
“What… the… hell is that?” Yessenia looked up at Luther.
Luther’s voice became satanic. “You have gone through my basic form. Taste the energy coming from this monster! Ten times stronger! HAAH, HAAH, HAAH.” His energy life form exploded in the room and some of the students became exhausted already. Alex tried to use a Tsunami technique but the energy level was too much for him. He fell to the ground, trying to grasp for air. Yessenia tried to block the explosion of energy with her sword but she only flew backwards.
Matt was on the ground, coughing up some of the remaining air he had left. “H-How…” His fire powers were malfunctioning. Shirley was in the exact same condition.
Santi and Winny were nearby each other, both almost worn out from the energy. They already did not have enough energy to begin with since their powers were corrupted. Jaime tried to summon more ninjas but his hands couldn’t function the way he wanted them to. Danny was almost out cold. Luther flew up into the air using his wings, “None of you barely have enough energy to fight! This is the end for all of you!”
Matt tried to get up. He made a very small amount of flames appear from his hands, “We are… not done… with you!”
Alex tried to use his water powers but nothing was coming out. “Damn it!”
Yessenia still had her blunt word. She still had some energy left. “We will not give up so easily. What you did to all of us… led to the necessity of Brandon sacrificing himself.”
Shirley sat up as well, “Yeah. Mariel, Stinna, Brandon, Stan, and even Rena… they’re all gone!”
Danny reached out for Luther, “You still need to give Willy back… to us!”
Matt nodded. “And Jen too!”
“Willy? Jen? Even after how much weakness they’ve shown to me, you still decide to go after them?” He turned to Danny, “Willy does not even belong in your world. Why do you want him back?”
Danny could not stand up or move at all. He said slowly, “He taught me… one special thing. And that was to keep… moving forward – avenge a good old friend if I… needed to.”
“Pathetic. Simply pathetic! Gah hah hah!” Luther had a clear advantage to zap Danny. And so, Luther pointed his rod at him and threw a thunderbolt directly at Danny. Danny fainted completely…
“DANNY!” Matt yelled. “W-Why?!”
“One by one now, you will all disappear! Your heroic acts are nothing but just words. Prepare… to face death that fate wishes you all!” Luther laughed again.~~~
Matt: Next week on episode 117, ...Well, this is it... This will be the end of it all!
Santi: I'll be free from Luther's intentions. But I...
Shirley: Luther is going down. We've all fallen under the same fate and now we can't just give that up.
Danny: This one's for Mariel!!
Yessenia: And this is for Brandon.
Jaime: Ah this doesn't matter. Let's get this over with.
Winny: Why are you so calm?
Alex: Although I'm new, I'll try my best!
Matt: Come on everybody, the time has come for us to finally stop Luther once and for all! Next time on episode 117, Fires of the Sky, Adventures Kept in Memory...!
Matt: Who's with me?!
Everyone: Yeah!
