As the
protagonist group entered Wisteria, all of them have split apart into several
groups, each fighting different antagonists of Wisteria. Alex and Van had a
draw while Peter and Maggie agreed to put their complications aside. Amy and
Jenny have taken a rest from their battle while William lost against Shirley
and Huy through their bond. Lastly, Yessenia and Omar had a crucial battle
where Yessenia had to use all her might in order to win. Matt and Shirl
therefore concluded their own battle after Shirl had come to her senses. At
this moment, Alex used a forbidden spell that could possibly injure his magical
essence. Cataclysm was the name of the spell. In the end, Matt decided to save
Wisteria even after knowing that the whole city is in complete ruin!
Episode 164 – When Lightning Strikes, the Broken
Promise
“I WANT TO SAVE WISTERIA!!” Matt
said even louder. The shrill yelp echoed throughout Wisteria. However, most of
the people in Wisteria were already gone by now. Tony kicked Matt’s head.
“Why even keep your promise? You
might as well give up. Wisteria has been long gone ever since you and your damn
group entered this city.”
Matt suddenly stopped. He slowly
turned to the while city from the highway’s view. He did not want to admit that
it was too late. Perhaps, he knew all along that it was too late to save
Wisteria, but he denied that fact and continued to try and keep his late
promise. “No… it’s not over yet.” Matt was interrupted by Tony’s kicks again.
One after another, Matt was being stepped on.
Amy and Yessenia were the closest to
Tony. Tony made a Shadow Sword appear. He held onto it tightly. “Stop trying to
act like you can save everybody and everything. Just look at Wisteria. It’s all
ruined already. It’s time for you to die.”
Yessenia ran towards Tony. “Stop
it!!” Amy followed her. Huy, Shirley, Michael, Alice, and Nix all watched. They
were too speechless and surprised to even think about what to do next.
Jaime’s hat covered his eyes. The
aura around him was gray. He casted a bunch of Shadow Ninjas. One of the
shadows knocked both Yessenia and Amy over. Another shadow stepped on Amy’s leg
and then it pointed a knife at her face. A third shadow kicked Yessenia onto
the ground and pinned her down. Jaime said nothing.
“Ah! No!” Amy whined.
Yessenia tried to push the shadow
ninjas away while yelling at Jaime, “Hey, what are you doing just standing
there? Why are you even on his side?”
Amy began crying. “There’s no way
for us to win. Look at all of us.” She watched as Shirley was being pushed by a
few monsters from far away. Huy was also knocked over by a few dark slimes.
Michael was using too much energy. Amy said to Yessenia, “None of us even has
the energy to keep fighting… How can we go on?”
Jenny stood at the highway’s ledge
still. “Oh no… What should I do? Tony
has been supporting the tri-sisters and William since middle school…” While she
was worried, Alex was nearby, watching Matt’s eager to continue saving
Wisteria.
Matt continued speaking up,
“Furthermore, return all the students that you sent into Elsiya. Return Earth
back to us! Erggh!” Tony kicked him even more. Matt’s face was punctured
against the highway which was breaking. Nix tried to punch Tony with the small
amount of energy it had left but Tony only kicked it away.
Alice held onto Nix as she said
while watching the scene, “Matt’s not giving up…”
Matt grabbed onto Tony’s leg, the
leg that constantly stepped on Matt’s head. “It’s not… it’s not over until I
say it’s over!!”
Tony swung his leg very quickly and
Matt was thrown to the other side of the highway. Tony’s shadow aura disappeared
and he made water appear. “Your biggest weakness in elemental power – water.”
Alex gasped. “N-No… Not mine…”
Tony walked towards Matt. “Hehe.
Come on, Jaime! Defeat those useless students while I handle Matt!” He made
water appear right on his hands. “Fists of the Ocean.” Tony said. “Said to be
one effective skill for water users.” Tony swung his fist closer to Matt.
Matt had a feeling this would
happen. He knew that if that fist attacked him, he would be totally out cold
and the whole group would be annihilated following the attack. Jaime’s shadow
ninja aimed at Amy’s neck with a knife. Amy squealed, afraid to get stabbed.
“No!!!” She closed her eyes.
Yes, it seemed to be the end for the
group here. There was no other option left for the group now…

“It’s not over until you say it’s
over, Matt!” A familiar voice was heard right above him.
Matt quickly opened his eyes. “Huh?!
V-VENUS!” He was surprised to see Venus standing right in front of him.
“Y-You’re… here?!”
Venus countered Tony’s water fist by
casting a simple thunder attack with her whip. “Thunder Snap!” She electrocuted
the water which eventually shocked Tony.
Bunhong pushed Amy out of the way
and then he held onto her. “The Hero of Elk Village arrives! YEAH!!!” Everyone
was silent and not amazed. “CHEER FOR ME!!”
Alice and Nix clapped their hands.
“Eheh…” Alice sighed. “Good job…”
Jaime was not angry. He was more
surprised than furious. Tony was on the ground, twitching. “Gah- agh- GRAHH!
How dare you soil my clothes! I will not let you get away with this!” He
changed his mimicking powers to thunder.
Venus sighed. “Eh? How trashy…” She
tried to whip him several times for the next few seconds. “Take this,
hyayayayaya!!!”
“You’re missing! Haha!” Tony easily
toned his movements so that Venus could miss every attack. “Jaime, what are you
doing?! Kill them!”
“Kill?” Jaime shook his head.
“B-But…”
“Why have you been suddenly useless
lately?!” Tony panicked.
Alice said to Bunhong, “I’m assuming
you have some cool powers too?!”
“No, I don’t. I’m just a regular
Hero from Elk Village!”
“EH????” Alice rolled her eyes.
Yessenia was the first to notice
Jaime’s reactions. “Hmph.” She said.
Tony casted a Thunder Arrow which
sent Venus flying backwards. She fell and said angrily, “What the hell? Why
does he seem to use skills that we haven’t even learned yet?!”
“Any more annoying ass surprises?”
Tony said while clenching his teeth. “I’ve had enough of these games. This
calls for the ultimate attack!”
“There’s more?!” Amy shivered.
Jaime’s monsters suddenly
disappeared. Meanwhile, Tony pointed a finger upward with a dark ball and a
large portal appeared. Alice covered her mouth, “Oh my gosh! W-What is that?”
Nix opened its eyes widely. “That
looks like… The Grand Cradle of the Druskane Continent!”
Michael turned to the bird. “What is
the Grand Cradle of another continent doing here?!”
Nix closed its eyes. “I don’t
believe it… This guy, Tony… he knows so much about Elsiya. Why is that?”
The Grand Cradle is known to create
mass amounts of monsters on the continent corresponding to which cradle is
activated. Before Matt’s group came to Wisteria, Matt and Amy explained how
they deactivated the cradle of Marconia by going to the Plaines Triangle.
However, it seemed as though Tony had already carried the whole cradle of
Druskane into his hands. He had two dark spheres in his hands: one for Marconia
and one for Druskane. Tony decided to use the Druskane cradle now so that every
student feared to have no chance in stopping all of the monsters in Druskane.
“The monsters will invade the
Peridot soldiers whom we have been fighting for a long time as well!”
Jaime thought in his mind, “Shit… he
activated it!”
Tony went on, “You see, I figured
this might come in handy. Summing a bunch of monsters in Druskane, and then
throwing you all in the middle of the battlefield of digicells would be the
worst-case-scenario. That way, it is an auto-annihilation!”
Venus gripped onto her whip. “What
are you planning now?”
“Wisteria is already done for.
Haven’t you all seen the real picture? You’re all trying to save a fictional
world, like Elsiya, for what reason? It’s fictional! Protecting Wisteria?
Bullshit! Tony reached out for a third sphere. “This is the very own sphere
that canceled all access to other worlds. It looks like only Arkon’s Magic and
Earth are open, but Earth’s current state is frozen. Therefore, the only option
is Arkon’s Magic. However, what is the point in doing that? The only goal is to
head over to Druskane, isn’t that right? For your friends?”
Michael gasped. “That’s right! We
need to gather everyone here as soon as possible! Take them all to Arkon’s
Magic!”
Alice turned to him, “Why not use
your cellphone?”
Michael blushed. “Erm. Eh…”
“…What?”
“…My phone ran out of battery.”
“WHAAAT?! Then we have to make Tony
create the dimension to Arkon’s Magic!!”
Matt was still silent. He did not
know whether he should continue to protect Wisteria if it was obviously already
in ruin. “Wisteria…” He muttered.
Tony only had one dimension open:
the Druskane Continent. “You are never taking the Arkon’s Magic sphere!” He
threw the Arkon’s Magic sphere onto the ground. “NEVER!” He stepped on the
sphere, shattering it into pieces.
Alice’s heart skipped a beat.
“A-A-Arkon’s Magic…”
“Gone… just in a flash.” Michael
froze in fear.
“You may have deactivated the Grand
Cradle, but we can always activate it again anyway! Come on, Jaime! We shall
head over to the Druskane Continent. From there, I can use my mimicking powers
to take over the Peridot soldiers. There are more students out there who are
even more worthy to fight against the South El Monte students.”
Jaime suddenly spoke up. “No.”
“What?” Tony turned around.
Jaime’s eyes were covered by his
hat. “I won’t go to the Druskane Continent.”
“…Huh???” Shirley said stupidly.
Huy sighed. “What the hell is going
on now?”
Jaime pointed at Tony, “I’m tired of
you just trying to look for more people!”
“What’s the meaning of this?”
“Don’t you get it? I’m the one who can defeat those South
El Monte students!!”
“You?”
“A lot of the South El Monte
students bullied me too. I’ve held that grudge for over three years and it has
not left my mind ever since. All I wanted was to be sent into the challenges in
the future to defeat them all one by one, alone! I wanted you to choose me. In
order to do that, I had to stick to your side. I had to make you feel
comfortable with the fact that I should become the greatest in order to have my
revenge.”
“So all this time, you were on my
side, just to betray me?”
“Not necessarily… but you should
just stop already.” Jaime looked away in shame. Matt, Venus, Alex, and Yessenia
were all too surprised to say anything.
Tony headed towards the dimension.
“Even you… Every one of my comrades either lost, or betrayed me. That is all
pathetic!”
Venus coughed. “Peh! You’re telling
us that we’re pathetic?”
Tony closed his eyes. “The
challenges are coming and we don’t even know when it’s going to happen. I just
want to gather the strongest members of El Monte before it is too late. Maybe
you can be a candidate, but for now, your opposition just turned the idea down
the pit of nothing!” He stepped into the dimension to Druskane. “Only I will go
to Druskane. All of the monsters will start appearing. Gahah!”
Jaime ran towards Tony. “Wait, not
so fast!”
Venus tried to whip the dimension
but it did not work. Shirley and Huy ran towards the dimension as well but it
closed in too fast. Both Shirley and Huy crashed into each other. “Ouch!” They
both said at the same time.
The whole scenery was suddenly
quiet. The battlefield was completely done for. No soldiers left were standing.
Yessenia made a huge sigh and then she
asked herself, “Was this considered a draw…?”

William, Shirl, and Omar were all
under the highway, standing together. They tried to see what was going on from
down below. Shirley, Huy, Venus, Bunhong, Alice, Michael, Nix, Amy, Jenny, and
Yessenia were all safe from danger. They were able to stand properly. Matt and
Alex were on the ground. They seemed to have used too much energy. Jaime began
walking away.
“Wait, Jaime!” Yessenia said to
Jaime. Jaime suddenly made a stop but he did not turn around. “Hm.” She gave a
smile. “You are not a bad guy after all, I am guessing?”
There was a long moment of silence.
Yessenia waited for an answer, but Jaime only continued walking. Yessenia could
barely see the tears flying out of his eyes, flowing against the wind that he
was walking into. She was astonished. Jaime left the highway without showing
his face. It looked as if he was in tears! His only chance to be chosen as the
strongest person to finally fight the South El Monte students was gone only
because he betrayed Tony the whole time. Nobody understood how important the
challenges were to Jaime.
Yessenia said nothing else. Venus crossed
her arms. “W-Wait a minute. You don’t want to talk about this, Jaime? I forgive
you!” Yessenia patted Venus on the shoulders. Venus turned around, “What do you
want?” Yessenia closed her eyes and then she shook her head indicating that she
shouldn’t ask questions.
Michael turned to the city of
Wisteria. “W-What is this? I sense a strange force…” He said as his heart was
beating faster. “The same force as two years ago…”
Next to Michael was Nix who was
frozen in complete fear.

A man had stepped into the city of
Wisteria… He crushed a skull that lied in front of him. “I finally found you,
Matt, the elemental power wielder of Fire…” The voice said in despair…

Rowen:
Why don’t you come along with me? It will be lots uf fun, really.
Matt:
Why would I do that?!
Rowen: To
revive your old friend.
Michael:
No way… that’s not possible!
Matt:
Did you just say… old friend? Santi…?
Alex:
Just forget about all that! There is no possible way!!
Matt:
Be quiet! There must be… there has to be some way. He can’t just disappear so
suddenly like that! Next time on episode 165, Resolution of Wisteria, the Dark
Fire Magician Appears!
Rowen:
There is a possibility. And I know of it.
