Characteristics - As a mother of two children and wife of her beloved, Melanie seems to have a lot on her plate that she could not handle. She was forced into the western concentration camp in the Marconian Continent just for being a civilian of Wisteria.
She was once a friendly person, until she realized that living in a world can never be peaceful - as long as the CORP soldiers live.
Appearance - Melanie appears as an exhausted, young woman who had lost her ability to smile. She debuts as a peasant working for the CORP soldiers in the concentration camps. Due to her fatigue, her hair became curly and her face contains dust almost everywhere. Her clothes are old and ragged.

Escape Arc:
Although shown in only one episode, she becomes important for several aftermaths of the plot. Steve, a recurring character, is her husband and is eager to avenge Melanie after how terribly the CORP soldiers beat her down and she eventually passed away as a result. Matt, along the way, promised to fulfill Melanie's dying wish: to save Wisteria.
