Characteristics - For a tiger breed, Telgei has one of the most calm natures of all characters in the story so far. He may not be able to see much, but he can sense a strong character when he is in the presence of one. He loves to chuckle and talk often and enjoys doing nothing during crucial moments.
Telgei appears to have an appreciation for children who are determined to win and defeat their enemies.
Appearance - Despite Telgei's short appearance, he wears an old, gray sweater that was given from his own father. His mustache is his signature figure whenever someone mentions Telgei's character. If he talks, his mouth is not shown, but his mustache does the moving. He also has a mysterious, unexplained X-shaped scar over his right eye.

Rowen Arc:
Telgei is trapped in a cage along with his two favorite captains of the tigermen, Taiger and Lagi. He does nothing to fight back as he believes the El Monte students have enough spirit to retaliate against the Peridot soldiers for him. After being set free, he agrees to help Matt's group reach the Whistel Continent to stop Rowen by giving advanced technology to the Terris ship. After trying to chase Rowen down, he returns to Tigre Village to help block the pathway out of the hideout which Rowen was locked in eventually.
