Characteristics - Venus is the first, White-Mixed character in the story. She is part Vietnamese, German, and two other unrevealed races. She debuts as an overjoyed young girl who is curious about the actions of what Matt does in secret of his powers. As a record, she knows more Vietnamese than Matt does himself.
Venus often acts before thinking, but is lucky compared to Huy. She usually gets her ways even if it means sneaking into a warship.
Story preference (SPOILERS) -
El Monte Arc:
Within episodes 48 and 49, Venus accidentally discovers Matt and his flaming baby chick. She suspects this but she is smart enough to pretend that she does not realize anything. She finds Matt playing with the chick in the large gym but she is revealed to be sneaking up on him. In the end, Venus's memory about the chick is forgotten by Santi's Time powers.
Ruinous Arc:
In this arc, Venus is portrayed as a comical character.
Edmund Arc:
Venus appears in one scene when she steals a gas sign without intending to actually 'steal'.
Escape Arc:
Venus and Alex start out their sophomore year in a concentration camp in West Bridge in the world of Elsiya, along with Matt and Yessenia. In this arc, she is portrayed as lucky, happy, and carefree. She and Alex escape the camp together and end up in the Junkyard.
Enheizer Arc:
Upon arriving to Enheizer, Venus storms off and mentions 'him'. This is later revealed to be Jaime and Venus explains the situation between herself and Jaime. She later travels with Alex to the headquarters and they meet Matt and Yessenia.
Save Miki Arc:
After the group returns to El Monte, Venus notices that Jaime has not returned. Right away, Venus goes back into Enheizer's headquarters to find out that Jaime and Tony are planning something mischievous.
Marconian Continent Arc:
In this arc, Venus travels with Matt to find Jaime the faster, but more dangerous way: getting on the Floyde ship filled with CORP soldiers. As the two of them arrived, Venus barges into many of the Floyde ship's rooms recklessly. Venus and Matt almost fall off the ship in one of the rooms, but Omar, a pilot, saves them. However, Omar was the only pilot, thus no one else was keeping track of the control room. This causes the Floyde ship to crash right into Nerim Lake.
Omar decides to go up the wall of plants beside the waterfall towards Melvin. Venus decides that she and Matt should follow. At the top of the waterfall, Venus reveals to Matt about how Jaime, Santi, and Johnny have all abandoned her as friends. This scene reveals that she is not always happy, and she has true feelings. When entering Melvin, a strange man appears from behind. He is revealed to be Johnny, an old friend of Venus.
On the elevator boat, Venus splits with Johnny to find Matt. When she reaches the bottom of the ship, she sees Omar and Jaime and she decides to help Omar fight Jaime while Matt is out cold. After their loss, Venus gives up on looking for Jaime as she can clearly see his dark side. With this, she lies to Matt that Jaime went the opposite direction of the Boral Marshes.
At Elk Village, Venus becomes emotional, thinking that every guy is cruel and that she has no more will to continue moving on. So, she decides to stay in Elk Village.
Potrero Arc:
Venus makes a surprising return with Bunhong in order to save the group.
Rowen Arc:
In this arc, Venus rejoins main group in order to stop Rowen and chase after Jaime, whom she believes still has a kind heart.
Lightning
Thunder Snap (142) - whips an enemy with the addition of lightning
Thunder Jab (142) - sharpens the whip and stings an enemy when the user attacks
Relation to:
Venus is originally best friends with Santiago Vallejo. It is revealed that Venus has been friends with Jaime Tang and they have made time to hang out with each other often in their freshman year. This is the reason why Jaime stopped appearing often after the Echoville arc. In her sophomore year, she struggles to find answers as to why Jaime has suddenly abandoned their friendship. Throughout her second year in high school, she grows close bonds and friendships with mainly Matthew Tran, Yessenia Zhou, and Alex Wang.
